About this property

Cottage on a private sandy beach with a gorgeous view of the city of Nelson.

Getaway cottage on a private beach on the majestic Kootenay lake. Gorgeous view of the mountains and the city of Nelson. Right next to famous Pulpit rock hiking trail.

From parking to home there are 5 stair cases & 112 steps, it's sadly not for mobility reduced individuals. If available, we ca help with your bags.

Nelson is a very special city. It has many restaurants and store that offer organic foods as well as vegan options. Lots of artists and galleries to shop from or simply to visit.

Guest access
There are 3 cottages on our steep land. You may park 1 car in the driveway at the top of the stairs, in front of the car port. The driveway is shared with our family and another family. We park 4 cars wide. Looking down at the view from the parking you will see stairs and 3 cottages accessing those stairs. My family lives in the top cottage on the left and your new home is at the very bottom of the stairs on the beach (The green roof).
The cabin midway down the stairs on the right is another small short term rental.

Excellent little cottage to stay at. The views of Nelson especially at night are spectacular. The host was very friendly and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend!

Owner super friendly and could not have been easier to work with! Place was spotless, had everything we needed. Amazingly quiet, peaceful and unbelievably majestic! We will definitely come back if they will have us :-) Thank you so much BobPs sorry about the bear…we should pay better attention to the instructions on not taking out the trash

This property was exactly what my family was looking for. The location on the beach was perfect, the cabin was comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed and the access to beach toys made our trip even more special. The property listing was very honest about all the stairs but they are maintained and very manageable. The host was always available and provided great communication. We will definitely be booking this property again next summer.
