Nestled below large pine and fir trees lies this newly built cabin. Landscaped with stone gardens, patio, stairs and walls are sure to impress. On our 17 acre property where our family lives, there are large shared green spaces with fruit trees and a fire pit area, trails/ roads throughout the forest. The home features wood trim and vaulted ceilings, new sectional couch, high end appliances, fully stocked kitchen, coffee/ tea bar, office, laundry and bathroom. Tvs in living room and main bedroom, high speed wireless internet, USB/ wireless charging/ Bluetooth speaker alarm clocks, blackout curtains, 100% cotton linens on the queen beds and double futon, soaker tub and walk in shower in the ensuite. Small patio areas to enjoy your morning coffee or evening brew. There is an outdoor gas fireplace and wood fire pit for use, with stockpile of firewood, kindling and roasting sticks, badminton / volleyball net, frisbee, and soccer ball for outdoor fun on property
Minutes from Kootenay lake beaches, downtown Nelson, local licensed corner store, Kootenay lake ferry, Kokanee zipline, Cody caves and Ainsworth hotsprings makes this stay conveniently close to all your adventures.

This is an amazing property. The location is excellent and close to so many incredible places. The house and grounds are super kid friendly. The kitchen and whole place is so very well stocked with everything you can think of. Also everything was very clean and well organized. We truly enjoyed interacting with our hosts. Truly respectful and welcoming. The parking is super convenient. I would absolutely stay there again.

We loved our stay at the Bear’s Den! We have four kids ages 5-11 and they loved exploring the property and enjoying the fun things to do there. We fit comfortably in the house and they had everything we needed! Thanks so much for helping to make our time in Nelson so enjoyable :) your place is awesome!

We loved our stay at the bear den! Very cozy and homey, along with very neat features. We kept saying we want a cabin just like it someday! The only thing is the beds may have seen better days, haha. Other than that, an awesome stay and we will definitely return when we can!! Thank you guys

Beautiful rural setting, friendly hosts who readily answered any questtions regarding the property. Complete kitchen, plenty of aupplies (towels, soaps, books for all ages, logs and supplies for the wiod burning stove etc.) Everytging exceeded my expectations. Lots of parking with easy access into the home.

Peaceful locatio

Beautiful property nice outdoor sitting and there was every convenience in the kitchen, bathrooms even beach towels. We were very close to the Ainsworth hot pools and restaurants. Would highly recommend we really enjoyed our stay

The Bear Den was the perfect accommodation for us. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans and appliances. It felt like a second home! Location was a short drive from Nelson but we appreciated the quietness and rural vibe. There was plenty of parking for our two vehicles. We would love to stay here again!

Amazing spot!

The property was beautiful, with lots to do and the place was well equipped with what we needed. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We loved the master suite to give us some privacy from the rest of our family.

Beautiful Property

We came to Nelson to celebrate a milestone birthday as a mini winter getaway. We’ve never travelled to Nelson in fall or winter months and this property was amazing and so comfortable and homey. I cannot wait to come back again one day! Thank you Scott and Jessica for sharing your beautiful home
