We could not have been happier here. Great location. Spacious. Nice appliances and shower/bathroom situation. Clean and responsive host. We loved that it was on a popular street. Loved the sounds of the city. Super convenient to the neighborhood, but also in getting to other parts of the city. Biggest stressor was trying to figure out how to empty the washing machine drain without getting water everywhere. We did our best. We had to do laundry as we were there for 28 days.
We had a long stay in this cozy, convenient and comfortable apartment. The bed was great, we slept really well. We were able to walk just about anywhere from this location. The streets were crowded but the apartment felt secluded. We could hear the bells from Notre Dame when we opened the window. Accessible to grocery stores, restaurants. Quick bites and nice sit down dinners. Diane, the host, is accessible and helpful.
Quaint apartment in a perfect location to see several sites within walking distance. Updated kitchen and bath. Furniture could use an update, but overall perfect space for four.
This apartment is in the tourist center of the Left Bank close to Notre Dame and the Seine River. All of the leading attractions of Paris are just a short walk or ride on the bus or metro. We enjoyed a wonderful week in the heart of the Latin Quarter.
This apartment worked well for us. Although the street is very active, our windows were closed and we heard very little. We enjoyed the nice kitchen and having the separate bathrooms, one with a sink and toilet and the other with a sink and shower. There is one flight of stairs to the elevator which was a bit tough when we got there with our luggage but not a major problem. Thank you, Diane, for having us.
We thoroughly enjoyed out week long stay here in March.
The central location was perfect. Many sites were within walking distance and the metro was 2 minutes away.
The apartment had what we needed to cook a few simple dinners, and we found the best pan chocolat just at the end of Rue Huchette. There were many great food options in the Latin Quarter and beyond.
Two adults and two teens were comfortable there...our teens raved about the pull out sofa! One of us took the elevator while the others raced up the stairs.
We found it a bit noisy on a Saturday night, but that was to be expected.
Also appreciated being able to do laundry, which we hung from rope to dry.
All in all, a fantastic stay and would love to go back!
Dead mouse lying in kitchen floor and another under the sink! Outrageous odor!
* short in bathroom light switch.
* cannot use any dishes or kitchen with mice infestation
* dead mouse on floor is stuck with fluid which means not recent demise
* mouse dropping in bed sheets
* cannot turn on heat because intensifies odor
* sneezing nonstop. Pharmacy 3 times!
* in apt went in bedroom, opened window and shut door. Only way I could sleep.
* WIFI not adequate. 1 sentence and had to go back to settings to reconnect.
* no book of instructions
* asked 4 times for a manager to talk to.
* sent man to get mouse under sink. This was the source of the terrible odor. 4 days later.
* need refund or credit
* totally unexceptionable experience
* a true health hazard!!
Will someone from vrbo PLEASE contact me?
This apartment could hardly be more central, a half block from the Seine, just across the river and 1 block from Notre Dame, and walkable to everything. The apartment is cute, with classic wood beam ceilings, nice tile floors, and a comfortable bed. The bathrooms are nicely done with attractive tiles. The negatives for us were that i) the heat stopped working on the second of our 9 days, and though someone came to verify that it was in fact completely broken, nothing happened after that. Mercifully it was unseasonably warm when we were there, and the apartment seems to collect heat from al the other apartments it is surrounded by, so it was liveable. But the failure to respond for several days after the technician said the heating was broken and after I already reported the same, was not acceptable. ii) Although the apartment has big windows the glass is ground so you cannot see out of them, which gives the apartment a bit of a cavelike feel. iii) The coffee technology was inadequate, with a device that uses something akin to a tea bag and makes awful coffee, we had to buy our own. Other than these three negatives, we enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stay at this little apartment which is steps to Notre Dame, St. Michel’s fountain and the Latin quarter. There’s one flight of stairs to the first landing then a tiny elevator that gets you to the 3rd floor. Check in was easy and communication with manager was excellent. fully equipped with kitchen items, a washing machine, comfortable beds and quality furniture making it a great place to rest and recharge. We had our teenage son with us and he was very comfortable on the pull out sofa with a good quality mattress. We also found it very convenient that it has separated toilet & sink and a sink & shower in the other bathroom so it was really easy to get ready in the morning having “almost” 2 bathrooms. It was a bit of a challenge to get a cab “close” to the apartment because the entry is onto a pedestrian only street, that was a bit tricky with luggage, but we soon got the hang of it. Close by amenities include shops, multiple restaurants, bars, ice cream, bakeries, you name it, it’s right there. There was some street noise if the windows were open and lots of nightlife, traffic and sirens but with the windows closed we could barely hear anything and definitely not something a good set of earplugs can’t handle. Also, although busy area, we felt very safe here. One last note. At time of booking and the “dot” on the map for location when booked on VRBO is incorrect- this is NOT located on Ille de Cite’ it is on the left bank across bridge from Notre Dame. Would rebook.
This property is as listed and is in a great location. As it is in the back of the building, it is rather quiet for being in a noisy neighborhood. The street is pedestrianized and very busy and touristy during the day, but it did not bother us at all. It has great access to major sites as well as to public transportation. The apartment could be a bit better supplied. Only 4 thin towels were supplied with no hand cloths and only 2 tiny bars of soap. There were only 2 kitchen towels. One of the chairs in the living room was sprung and was not "sittable," but as there were just two of this, it was not a problem. We could not find a mop or a toilet brush even though the instructions said to clean up. Communication was not great. We asked if it were possible to stay another night and did not get a response. We were also stuck in the tiny elevator (a new experience, for sure) for over an hour and we reported to the landlord that the information about it should be conveyed to the next tenants, but again, received no response. We had to be rescued and jump out between floors and, getting down the spiral stairs with our luggage when we left was a bit of a struggle. This was NOT the fault of the landlord, clearly but we did think we'd get a response. Having said all that - the apartment was satisfactory with a comfortable bed and a terrific shower. The kitchen had all that you need. We appreciated the washing machine, but the drying rack was broken. But - we would stay here again.

Very central, great for party lovers
Stayed for a month over Christmas and New Year. Pros: The apartment is centrally located, in walking distance to many attractions, and close to the Metro, taxis, bistrots, cafes and a few supermarkets. It contains nearly everything you need including a comforable bed, good hot shower, a washing machine and basic cooking equipment. It has a (not very reliable) lift after one flight of stairs.
Cons: The street is extremely touristy and the apartments are located above a pub, which makes it extremely noisy at night (until 4.00 am). The apartment looks a bit tired and is in need of refurbishing and repainting. It is very dark as there is frosted glass in the living area windows, The vinyl headboard in the bedroom sheds pieces of black plastic into the bed.There is no shelving for clothes, only a tired plastic shoe hanging device. A chair in the lounge is sprung. There is no functioning clothes drying rack. Coffe making machine is unusable. The kettle leaks water eveywhere and there were no wine glasses (in France!). The apartment is dusty and all the curtains were dirty and in need of reguar cleaning. There was a mouse living in the kitchen. The hallways smelled mouldy and were never aired. The management responded promptly the two times the lift broke down but failed to deliver on promised replacement of broken clothes drying rack. The inventory process for long stays was annoying and uneccessary and the price for electricity was steep, over 400 euros for the month.
This property was clean and well located, surrounded by a wide selection of places to eat and wander. However, if you chose to stay here, be aware that in addition to the 18 steps up just to reach the lift, there is a quarter step down from the kitchen to the living room, and another from the shower room to the living room, plus a high step down from the shower. Other than this safety concern, the property was comfortable.
This is a wonderful little apartment perfect for a couple looking to be in a central location. This was the perfect place for my husband and I to see as much as we could in our four days in Paris. Close to Notre Dame and the Metro. It did get a little noisy at night from the street traffic and pedestrians but mostly just on the weekends. But there’s literally anything you need within walking distance. The place is cozy and had everything we were looking for. We would stay here again.
