You could not ask for a more peaceful and quite location. I hate that we were only in town for the weekend as we wanted to explore the area more. We will definitely be back again. Thank you both for your generous hospitality.
My family and i enjoyed our stay here well be back this is a lovely cottage beautiful lake feet away with fall leaves crisp air was exactly we needed. Thank you Carey & Beth
We moved 27 years ago from NH. John was born in New London and raised in Sunapee. We raised our 2 kids in Henniker. Rodd cottage made an amazing place to bring our family together. Peaceful and relaxing. Lots of things to do too.Thank you to the Rodd family for sharing.
A great space but not sure it would work if the weather was hotter since no air but it was fine for our mid-May tripThe only drawback was the Sulphur content in the water. The host provided a couple gallons of spring water but with 3 guests and 4 nights, we had to augment that supply.I did seem to experience a bit of discomfort with my contact lenses but the pollen count was rather high so who knows? All in all, knowing the above pros and cons, we would consider this property again.A very nice and accommodating host and a good location for our purposes.

Spacious and calming
Our stay was perfect. We had a very busy week so we unfortunately didn't spend as much time as we would have liked AT the property but it left us wanting to cancel our plans many days and just relax by the lake. It is family friendly, however, I will say the shower was difficult for our 7 year old as the shower is quite small and the head doesn't adjust enough. The cooking appliances are a little on the older side but they didn't impact our stay at all. The necessary stuff like the stove, oven and microwave worked just fine and that's all we really needed. (My mother stayed there w my boys one day and tried making pavlova(sp) and didn't have a mixer.) The owners of the place were so helpful though!! He stopped by to check on us and brought over something to help them w their baking. It was very thoughtful. Overall couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. 10/10
