About this property

The Forest Cabin

The cabin is located on the South Ridge above the town of Golden. The setting is private and peaceful, surrounded by forest and mountain views. 10 minutes drive to town and 25 minutes to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Easy access to hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, golfing. This bright and cozy cabin is the perfect place to relax after your Golden adventures.

There is a BBQ, firepit and kid play area shared with the other two guest cabins. We will stock the wood for you. Enjoy!

*COVID-19* Prevention. We are following Airbnb’s cleaning protocol guidelines and committed to make sure the space is thoroughly sanitized between stays. Leaving 2 days between each reservation to ensure safety for our guests and us! The cabin is tucked in the forest and private - a great place to social distance and retreat in between your mountain adventures.

We are the new owners of the property. The previous owners had amazing reviews and we will be keeping everything the same with some improvements.

Each one of our three cabins has a completely original design. They are made using sustainable and recycled materials combined in a tasteful and modern rustic combo. The central wood stove creates a cozy, relaxing atmosphere after every adventure. We provide all of the wood.

The space has one bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed and a loft upstairs with a queen size bed and a single futon. There is a covered veranda where you can lounge surrounded by the forest. There are a lot of windows that make the space very bright.

Downtown Golden is 10 min away. There is a great Indian Restaurant 5 min away just off the highway. There are a few hikes in the area and the Upper Donald Road is a scenic drive to the Blaeberry River, Thomson Falls and the Wildlife Wolf Centre.

Kicking Horse is 25 min drive
Lake Louise is 1 hour drive
Emerald Lake is 50 min drive

In the winter you need winter tires to get around Golden. We get a lot of snow!

Our Golden getaway

We enjoyed a pleasant 2 nights while enjoying the Golden area. Kitchen fully equipped and we made our breakfasts before starting our day. Would recommend this property.

Lyuab's cabin in Golden was the perfect stay for our trip!

The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed! Just a short drive from Golden's main street, the cabin is nestled in nature and the perfect starting point to visit the numerous national parks in the area. Check in was easy and Lyuba was a great host. I highly recommend booking the cabin if you're planning on visiting the Canadian Rockies. Would definitely stay again.
