Thank you Riley,
I was an absolute pleasure hosting you and your group. We would happily have you return to our family home for skiing, boarding and a general fun time!
The property was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped. It may be a little far to walk into town after a day of skiing but not a big deal. The shuttle is only a 5 minute walk.
Host had Christmas decorations that were very welcoming. Our 4 grand kids loved the bunk bed room. The kids also enjoyed playing in the snow on the hill behind the house. Short walk to Main Street also very nice.
Came from the Denver area for a Christmas vacation with family from out of town and absolutely loved our stay here in Breck! Eric was great to communicate with. The location is fantastic, parking is easy, and we have never stayed anywhere with a kitchen as stocked with anything you might need as this house was. Bonus was the perfect hot tub and the heated floors downstairs and in bathrooms.
Our family of five loved our stay. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, there were tons of games to play, the dog park was a five minute walk down the street and we could walk to the Breck gondola (if needed). We'd definitely return!
lovely home, plenty of room, excellent and immediate communication from owner made the stay easy. Hot tub was enjoyed by some of our group who loved it. easy walk to main street Breck and close to everything. wonderful experience.

Thank you so much Hannah! Really happy you enjoyed our family home.
My group and I were so impressed with this property - from the communication from Eric to the cleanliness to the location, everything was perfect. We will be back!
Wonderful stay. Eric was extremely responsive. House was as promised. Kitchen may be the best stocked in any VRBO we’ve stayed in. Fun hot tub. Easy walk to town. And….4 feet of snow!!!
Great location, a quick walk to Main St! The house is as described in the listing. We had plenty of space for our group of four adults, an infant, and our dog, and it was stocked with all the essentials for our trip.
Great communication with our host, Eric.

Great house walking distance from main street and close to the free shuttle route, easy to get to and from the slopes. Super clean and well stocked with amenities from a fully stocked kitchen to a hot tub and TVs setup with all sorts of streaming services to chill after a long day. Would come back and recommend!

Hi Kyle, it was a pleasure having you and your family and friends visit with us. Be safe and come back whenever.
We really enjoyed staying at this house for a long ski weekend. It was clean, comfortable, spacious to fit 2 families, and had a great location. We didn't use the shuttle (although could have), but parking was convenient. We walked to Carter park for sledding and to restaurants on Main street. The hot tub was great too!

Thank you Bindi for staying with us in our family home. It was great hosting you. Come back anytime!
The well equipped house is a short walk from Main Street. There is also access to hiking right out the back door and the Trollstigen Trail is also on walking distance. There are also two private patios, one with a hot tub, for gathering outdoors. Checkin was a breeze and communication with the manager/owner was conveniently by texting.

Thank you for the reply. I hope you and your family consider returning! You were a great guest.
Overall had a great experience with the house and the owners. They were very responsive and helpful. Plan accordingly for sharing cars due to Breckinridge’s no street parking rule. It was nice to be able to have dogs as well. Would stay here again in the future

Hi Chase.
Good point on the parking. We can usually squeeze in three medium size cars, but Breck is very tight in general for parking.
I frequently book stays through VRBO, and I’m thankful to have had consistently great experiences. Our stay in Breckenridge was no exception. Eric’s communication was outstanding—clear, timely, and incredibly helpful, which is so appreciated when traveling to a new place and navigating the unknown. His home was immaculate, thoughtfully maintained, and equipped with every amenity needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home.
This house was everything we could of asked for, for a friends reunion in Breckenridge! We had four couples and two dogs, so the space was a little cozy, but we made it work. The location was great - walking distance to downtown and the gondola; and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we were able to all squeeze in at the dinning table for meals. Eric was super responsive and easy to communicate with. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a large-ish house in town.

Hi Alissa, thank you for staying with us. I'm happy it worked out for you. Look forward to having you visit again.
The stay here was better than great. Eric knows how to make your stay comfortable, everything was perfect. We stay with family, mostly adults, 8 altogether.
The location is excellent and an easy walk distance to Main Street. Everything you need is close. There was a small grocery in walking distance also.
The house has a nice fire pit out front, and a hot tub in the back.
The house is stocked with most everything you could need, and super clean and cozy.
The host was in communication checking on us. We couldn't have been happier with the stay and will be staying again. Thank you so much!
Super great location. Combo of quiet street but super close to everything. Easy walk to bus stop to gondola. Eric was super supportive and had lots of great advice. House was clean and THE best equipped house we've ever vrboed, especially the kitchen, it had everything we needed. He even had a ski rack we could use for our car to go to Vail for a day. Again, the combination of house, equipment, advice, attentiveness, friendliness, and hospitality of the host makes this absolutely one of the best rentals we've ever done. Thanks again Eric!
We had a problem when the kitchen circuit breaker “blew” because of plugging the toaster and toaster oven into the same outlet. It also included the refrigerator. A VRBO message was answered immediately and we resolved the problem. In addition the plugs in both upstairs bathrooms don’t work. Would suggest that you include in your information that the front door is not handicapped accessible
Great location! Stayed with our family and dogs and was able to walk easily to downtown Breck all day long. House was fully stocked and very comfortable for our family.

About the Johnston Family
My wife and I met at University of Florida and moved to South Florida together. We adopted our two oldest children and were given a bonus baby right afterwards (basically triplets!) We have been coming to Breckenridge for over 7 years (renting on VRBO) and the whole family fell in love with the the town and ski resort. We decided we wanted to eventually live full time in Breckenridge and purchased our family home. Since we have been renting VRBO properties for a long time, we knew what we would want in a home we rented. We have high quality pans, cookware, small appliances and dinnerware. We have included a huge selection of spices and have coffee and condiments for your use. Our home is set up for us and our extended family. It is our goal to make you feel at home as well. We try to provide for everything you may need and take pride in our beautiful home. Please enjoy our home and take care of it as you would your own. We have great neighbors who have become our close friends. We ask that you respect them as well while visiting.
Why they chose this property
Why we chose our home. We wanted a beautiful home for our family and close friends to enjoy with us. The Historic district of Breckenridge is a truly special place and our home is close to everything. Yet, we are on a quiet and secluded street. Further, we did not want to have a condo with so many people around. A great feature is the trail system behind the house. During the summer you can hike to anywhere from right outside your back door. During the winter you can snowshoe or cross country ski right as well. There is a sledding hill and dog park about two blocks away. We have a dog ourselves and understand the desire to have your furry family member with you. If you are bringing a dog, please be sure to keep them downstairs as we do provide a pet gate.
What makes this property unique
What makes this home unique: We love living in the quaint historic district of Breckenridge. We live down a path from the street and the home is truly secluded. We are among historic homes and Main Street is only a short walk away. Having a trail directly behind the house gives you access to all the trails and bike paths around Breckenridge. The nearness to downtown makes it extremely convenient to visit and enjoy the highlights of Breckenridge such as our Arts District, Historic Churches, the Concerts at the Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge's most famous restaurants, the Backstage Theatre, Speakeasy Theatre, Museums and other attractions. Being able to walk anywhere you want to go is a great convenience. The views from this section of town are breathtaking. Enjoy a picnic in the historic park right next door and take in the ever-changing beauty of the mountains.
