About this property

43 The Boulevard Sandy Point

Koala Haven is situated within easy walking distance to the main beach access and general store.

The property is 600 sqm. The House about 120 sqm with an open plan kitchen, living and dining area open to a large deck at the rear of the house. The deck is securely enclosed so it is safe for small children and pets. A gas BBQ and plenty of outdoor dining furniture make this an ideal spot for family meals.

The well appointed kitchen has an electric oven and stove, microwave, dishwasher, air fryer and large fridge. The lounge and dining areas are comfortably furnished with comfy couches, including one sofa-bed, a TV with DVD player and a CD player. You will find a Coonara wood heater and reverse cycle air conditioning unit for heating and cooling the home.

The three bedrooms are situated off a central hallway, with one bedroom having a queen bed, the second a queen bed and the third having two sets of single bunk beds.

The bathroom and laundry are combined. The shower is over a hip bath, ideal for bathing small children. There is also a washing machine.

Well behaved pets are welcome both inside and outside at this property. The deck is enclosed however the garden is not fenced. The property is surrounded by birds and wildlife, A local Koala may even come to visit our Manna Gums.

Smoking is NOT permitted inside the property.


While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologise if this causes inconvenience.

- Guest Access

You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.


- Neighbourhood

Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public BBQ areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.

Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.

- Getting Around

Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.


- Other things to note

Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
