Surrounding area
The home is located on the edge of town on a quiet street with little traffic and only local passers by. It’s about a 10min walk into town or 2 minute drive. You’re as close as can be to the famous GIN Joint, and literally a hop, skip and a jump to many of the foodies delights around town or just short drive to the dozens of local wineries, vineyards and restaurants that the Yarra Valley has to offer.
The town of Healesville has a lot to offer with cafes, pubs, restaurants, vintage shops, great retail outlets, gorgeous florists, excellent butchers, along with Asian cuisine, alchemists, chocolatiers, health and healing places, massage, hair and beauty and great parks. We’ve even got a flying fox if that’s your thing.
Close by is the Healesville Sanctuary, our native wildlife park where you’re sure to see Koalas, Kangaroos and even snakes. Tarrawarra Museum of Art is down the road, catch the tourist train through the open farmland and past the vineyards if you like. The Chocolate factory isn’t too far away and the Golf Course is even closer. The Race Course isn’t far either. We have bush walking tracks, hot air ballooning, a local airdrome for light aircraft & helicopter rides, in winter you’re not too far from Lake Mountain snow resort which offers cross country skiing, the winding mountains offer a great scenic drive in a sports car or motor bike, the local bakeries and breweries are a must and so is the outdoor cinema in the vines which is offered throughout the summer at various wineries, along with ‘fair-dinkem’ rock concerts @ Rochford winery with a diverse style of live music playing around the valley.
No, 4 is designed as a base for the Yarra Valley. Whether it’s a special celebration, or wedding accommodation, a business trip or just a fancy weekend away. We trust that you will enjoy your stay at No. 4 and generally we’re just a phone call away should you need us.
