You are just 300 steps from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico in this light, spacious, comfortable island vacation rental home. The Captiva Vacation Home is nestled among other estate zoned properties in this stretch of Captiva Island, also referred to as the Gold Coast. At times the private beach will seem deserted to you and you will feel as if you own it. Using this Captiva Island vacation rental as your base, simply enjoy relaxing on the beach, collecting some of the shells for which Captiva is famous, swim in the Gulf of Mexico, fish for some of Captiva's well-known gamefish (right off the beach or the dock)... or go biking, kayaking, parasailing, golfing, boating, bird watching, surfing... And for your off-beach entertainment this vacation rental home has a heated pool plenty of modern amenities inside, including Direct TV in the living room with with VHS and DVD, Smart TV in the bedrooms, and wireless internet.
Your pet may be accepted with prior approval, and we expect the following: dogs stay off furniture and beds, are not left unsupervised and will be crated if left unattended indoors. You need to vacuum after your pet if it sheds excessively and pick up after your dog.

Home is spacious, clean with comfortable beds! Short walk to an expansive, beautiful private beach. Fishing off the dock was FANTASTIC - many fish dinners! Pool is wonderful encased in landscaping that was both beautiful and provided great privacy. This landscaping was throughout the entire property. Hosts could not have been better. All in all, a perfect vacation. Already booked for next year!

It was a wonderful Christmas getaway for everyone in our family. The location could not be more perfect, and the host welcomed us to use all the amenities. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with everything one could need. The gardens and the pool were fantastic. An easy walk to the beach or the dock for fishing made it hard to leave the property to do anything else. We hope to be able to return someday. Thank you so much!!

Well appointed and serene, the home, pool, and property created the perfect vacation. The beach is pristine and feels private and is just a very short walk, making it easy to enjoy without the hassle of packing everything up. Just walk over any time of day to enjoy! Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and Sanibel and Captiva are not to be missed. The spirit and warmth of the people are like no other. We were so happy to be part of the islands’ recovery from Ian. Wonderful experience and highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay here! We alternated the easy walk to the beach and sitting by the dock, including fishing. Plus the location is great for going to both Sanibel and Captiva restaurants. The landscaping is beautiful and you can see how much time and care was put into the variety of plants and flowers. Check in was simple and the house included everything we needed. Plenty of space and sitting areas for all of us to relax and be together. We used the chairs and tent by the beach every day. Loved all of the birds, lizards, dolphins, and manatees (one even swam up to us in the gulf!) The owners are so charming and helpful and made our stay easy and special. Totally recommend staying here! Would love to come back again.

We simply love the property and all it provides ! The house is awesome , indoor pool is beautiful, dock perfect for fishing relaxing and watching dolphins. Plus the beach is very close as well. Lastly the owners are fantastic! Highly recommend this property !

This guest house was clean, comfy, and had all the equipment needed for cooking etc. The use of the dock on the water was very cool, and being across the street from the beach was great. We biked everywhere pretty much. We have always stayed on Sanibel but this was lovely.

We have stayed in this beautiful home before, and will be back again next year. The beach is easy to get to, the pool is very nicely secluded, the home is laid out well and has everything we needed, including kitchen items. The beds are very comfortable. The boys loved fishing off the dock.

Perfect island getaway

My mom, brother, and I stayed for a week. It was perfect. The location provided easy access to the beach and the provided beach accessories (umbrella, chairs, cart!) were all that we needed. Margarethe and Rene were so friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome at their home. Inside the house we were very comfortable - my mom is still raving about how well she slept on the most comfortable bed!

The property was wonderful. Margarethe and Rene were excellent hosts. The house had everything needed for a terrific beach vacation. Fishing off the dock provided plenty of action. Access to the beach was nearby and the beach was great. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a 5 star place with 5 start hosts.

Rene and Margarete are awesome hosts! Great communication with them. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best! I highly recommend them for your family getaway, we will definitely becoming back and staying again! The heated pool and the dock were the best.
