Although the apartment is clean in terms of kitchen, bed made.. Etc. There is mold in the bathroom which, to me, negates all superficial cleaning done. There were multiple attempts by strangers trying to enter the unit which made for a scary experience. Small damages here and there throughout the apartment and the walls need a good clean. Pillows and blankets were stained.

When we arrived, we found that the flat was right off the street, there was a homeless person's blankets right outside the door. I was travelling by myself with 2 kids. Had I known that it was right off the street, I wouldn't have rented it. We felt quite unsafe. There was nothing the host or VRBO would do. We also had problems with the air conditioning and when I asked the host about it, I got no response. The place was clean and in a great location but without the AC working properly and the homeless person's blankets right outside, we did not enjoy our stay.
