By its proximity to Center City, Spring Garden is the ideal choice for any traveler looking to travel by car, or looking for a quieter neighborhood while still enjoying all the benefits the city has to offer.

Philadelphia, one of the country’s most walkable cities, is incredibly easy to navigate either by foot or by public transportation. That just leaves one question: Where to park the car?

Be sure to read all parking signs very carefully before leaving your car to avoid ticketing and towing during hours in which parking may be prohibited.
OTHER OPTIONS
For moving around, you'll also find several bus stops, bike ride-sharing stations, and subway stations.

Thank you so much, Natalia for your great feedback! We're glad that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to host you again the next time you travel.
The Suite worked out great for us. We had a long term stay requiring the need for a nearby hospital. We were only half mile from everything we needed. Simon responded quickly to a couple of requests and we appreciated that.
We loved the building for it's location, cleanliness, and safety. We were able to walk to Chinatown and Center City with ease and we felt safe and cozy inside. It was also very convenient to have on site parking and not have to deal with the hassle of finding and paying for parking each time we left the room. When we arrived our first evening, we were starving and were delighted to find a restaurant and bar located on the premises as well. I will definitely be booking here again for our next trip to Philly.
Me and my mom stayed at the apartment for our trip to Philly. And we enjoyed the apartment very much. The host is excellent in communication. The unit is very clean and stocked with clean towels and coffee pods to get our day going which is excellent. The check in process is super easy. Both beds are very comfortable. The location is close to everything. Overall, a great choice with excellent services and host. Would definitely stay at the property again.

Christmas week for medical needs
The apartment was bright and cheerful. We felt very comfortable inside which was important as I couldn't leave the apartment...doctors orders. We had our dogs with us also. The location was most challenging outside when walking the dogs. The street was littered with trash or broken glass. That was disappointing. Otherwise a nice place.
We surprisingly scored free parking right in front of the building. Our plan was to walk to a nearby venue on the next block over, and then into center city (about 1.5 miles away) and worked out perfectly leaving the car in the same spot the whole time. Check in was smooth. Staff and tenants were friendly. Key codes worked as they should. Our unit was on a front facing corner so we had great views of the city and a quiet stay. The AC worked nicely and the bed was firm and comfortable. The hot water heater in our unit needed a little recharge after each shower but obviously not a deal breaker. The apartment was spacious enough for two and had everything we needed for a quick one-nighter.
Comfy beds & Parking! Do you really need anything more?
Loved getting a good night's rest on the comfy beds and pillows! Also appreciated that the comforter had a duvet (I'm all about knowing bedding is clean.). The washer/dryer were great -- especially during the pandemic when I may be a bit neurotic about cleanliness. Another MAJOR plus was the garage. It's almost impossible to get street parking and it was invaluable being able to come and go as we pleased without having to worry about where to park when we returned. Seamless check-in/check-out too. Good, central location close to everything, but can't say I'd walk our family around the neighborhood so for us driving was a necessity. The apartment was on the no-frills side, but comfortable! Would stay again.

Hi JoAnna,
We're glad to know that you enjoyed your stay.
We're continuously working towards improving our units and services. Hoping to host you again the next time you travel.
- Check in process took over an hour
- The room we booked had not been cleaned
- We were moved to another room, but had to vacate the second room to move back to the original room the next day and did not have access to a room between 9am and 5pm
- It took over an hour to back get in to the original room on the second day (standing in a hallway, exhausted, with kids, next to another apartment where drug use was clearly happening) because the apartment manager could not reset the lock
- The couch in the apartment is not the pull-out couch pictured
- The lobby is dirty and desk attended is unaffiliated with the property managers and unable to assist
- The neighborhood is scary - trash everywhere, people asking for handouts, run down buildings, rats, bouncers posted outside restaurants
- VRBO was unhelpful with the situation
Nice place to stay, clean, simple and comfortable. Although the livingroom photo is not a true picture of what living room area is like now, needs to be updated.
This apartment was right around the corner from my client and was the perfect place to stay for several days. Much better than a hotel. It was clean, spacious, had great views, comfortable bed and ample kitchen ware to make my own dinners. Would absolutely stay here again!
Centrally located, within 2 miles of everything. Tougher for the dog, no grass anywhere nearby, and the side streets looked kinda sketchy but we didn’t feel unsafe. Front desk lady was outstanding, place was comfortable, clean, and quiet, noises of the city seemed to be significantly reduced with the windows closed. Good food in the restaurant in the lobby area.

This place is a beautiful hideout from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the hip, quiet, spacious and well-lit apartment with many amenities for a family traveling with a small baby. The on-site parking was particularly helpful. Some things in the unit were missing, but the property manager was quick to check in on us and to provide the missing items. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment complex & individual unit was as pictured. On the whole we had a pleasant experience, however, things could be improved. For example, the floors (while swept) could use a cleaning. The smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway & elevator was incredibly bothersome. I am pleased that my requests sent through email were handled quickly.
GREAT LOCATION! Excellent communication with Property Manager! This spacious unit has many large windows with beautiful views of the city! We traveled from Virginia to Philly during COVID over spring break for our son to tour Temple University, as an admitted student to the Tyler School of Architecture. Independence Lofts has a gated parking lot/parking garage, so we felt our vehicle & bikes were safe & secure as we parked in the garage. Once we parked, our family never drove anywhere until check-out time. We rode bicycles to & from Temple University - it was 1.7 miles away and a ten minute bike ride. We rode bikes to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and got on the Schuylkill River Trail.
Having two bedrooms and a large bathroom was nice. Unit is modern and industrial with cool architectural features.
It was a little bit loud with noise from other units or outside when trying to sleep. We used whit noise on my phone to block out noise and that worked well. It was a little bit warm in our unit, so we didn't need the comforter (just our sheet) as cover at night.
We enjoyed our stay, and I highly recommend Independence Lofts!
Enjoyed our quick stay in this cool apartment with full kitchen. Amazing views of downtown Philly! We had a great takeout meal from the fun restaurant in the building. I suggest taking up the ability to pay in advance to park under the garage -- street parking spots looked very sparse when we arrived.
What you see is what you get! The place was set up and cleaned perfectly. Checking in was easy and accessible, no problems came up. Also, for the climate of the world right now, it was a great place to social distance and host family to celebrate the new year! Spacious and included great views of Center City. Highly recommend!
Easy access to the city! The whole apartment are clean. Fit for family with a baby. Not to much stuff in the apartment, so it is safe with infant. Sheets and towels are clean and fresh! Kitchen stuff are complete. Window view is the best part! I will definitely stay here again...
