Kitchen fully equipped. Bathrooms and bedrooms clean. Basketball court in perfect condition. Older home but well kept. Smart TVs. Our family definitely enjoyed our stay.
The entire house was fully equipped with cooking utensils, spices, sugar, coffee, filters, trash bags, toilet paper, extra blankets and bedding. Full washer/dryer hook up. Both inside and outside fireplace, and a gas grill.
Had a wonderful long weekend here with our family of 6. Very spacious, great shower pressure, comfortable beds, quiet area, and great big backyard. Definitely a great place to stay.
We stayed at this cabin in early January, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The home is very spacious, cozy, and clean, and the photos truly don’t do it justice. We chose this spot to celebrate both my birthday and my dog’s 14th birthday, and it ended up being a very special trip for us.We did run into a couple of small snags during our stay, but Frank was an excellent host and addressed everything promptly and professionally, which we really appreciated. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were well maintained, and the yard was huge- perfect for families traveling with dogs. One suggestion for the host would be to provide a guest manual in the home, as that would make navigating the space and amenities even easier for future guests.Overall, I’m very grateful for the time we spent here. It was especially meaningful, as it turned out to be my dog’s last vacation with us before he passed. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway for you and your family (pups included), I would highly recommend staying at this home.

Thank you for the suggestion of the guest manual... what a great idea!!!
We loved the spacious living room and very well equipped kitchen. The host and manager were very friendly and welcoming. We would love to come back. Thank you.
The pictures don't do justice to the size of this property. It's easily able to sleep multiple couples with ensuite bathrooms. And then two extra rooms for kids or other adults. Originally there were to be four adults but one had to cancel at the last minute. The downstairs bathroom was awesome for my handicap sister. The stairs are quite a workout, but worth the trip upstairs. The decor is quite eclectic. Almost like somebody gathered stuff when they went traveling throughout Europe. The host had put up a lovely Christmas tree. For my birthday we invited our whole family over and the great open space was perfect for nine additional guests. It was also awesome to have a fenced in yard to be able to let our dog out to go to the bathroom. We received the wrong check-in code, but the cleaner was standing by and let us in immediately. She asked us to let her know if we needed anything. It's obvious that the owner is continuing to improve the space. Check in in case you need to bring washcloths, dishcloths, dish towels. We cooked multiple meals and it was perfect including deviled eggs and baking cornbread. Both of the master suite beds were very comfy.
I would truly come back to this location. The host made everything pleasant and our stay was beyond lovely. Thank you once again for this magical experience.
Had a great time - fun place and had a lot of space.

About the host
Hosted by Frank
We live in the San Gabriel Valley and have used this home in the mountains as our family retreat since 1995. We still use this home as the access is easy and the location is central to both shore lines (north and south). All of my children learned to ride bicycles on the street in front of the house. The neighborhood is a dog walking, friendly place. We've enjoyed star-gazing, snow-boarding, hiking, biking and boating while up in the mountains.
Why they chose this property
The neighbors are very friendly and you will daily see dog walkers and bicyclists even the coldest winters. The area is equally close to the North Shore as it is to the slopes so you get the full compliment of seasonal activities.
What makes this property unique
2 Full suites, 2 other bedrooms and a Grand room makes this home truly unique. The Basketball court can be converted to a pickleball court with little effort. This is a real walking neighborhood of Big Bear City. Safe and secure and a blast for every family member. .
