Nestled amidst Echo Summit and Freel Peak the perfect location in Lake Tahoe close to everything .Children up to 5 years of age don't count as occupancy limit! Beaver Brae retreat is a dream retreat for outdoor and nature enthusiasts alike. This vacation home offers unrivaled access to a plethora of outdoor activities, including hiking on the Tahoe Rim Trail, exploring Desolation Wilderness, fishing, skiing at Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Sierra-At-Tahoe (all within a 20-30 minute drive), as well as snowshoeing on groomed and ungroomed trails. Witness the breathtaking spectacle of fall colors as golden aspens contrast with the lush greens of firs and pines where Highway 89 and Hwy 88 converge.

Situated far from the hustle and bustle, this one-acre property is tucked away at the end of a secluded driveway, bordering Forest Service land and the tranquil Upper Truckee River. Immerse yourself in nature's beauty as you stroll along the river, relax amidst boulder fields, or let the kids explore the surrounding lodgepole pines, Douglas firs, and aspen trees but just a 15 min drive in to town !

This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house boasts a spacious gourmet kitchen, two TVs, and ample space for groups to unwind. The master bedroom overlooks the river, while the downstairs bedroom features an en-suite bath. Stay connected with high-speed wireless internet throughout the house and deck. Unwind under the stars in the hot tub or simply bask in the serenity of the backyard.

Please note that the property does not allow pets due to the owner's severe allergies. Guests are encouraged to respect quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, with a maximum occupancy of 8 guests (excluding children under 5). Guests are required to adhere to the VHR Permit Number and Transient Occupancy Tax Number regulations. Additionally, guests must sign a contract with the property management company to receive check-in instructions and access to the property.

This house has Whole house cooling. When used correctly it works like AC. There is a a large fan in the the attic that pulls all the hot air out of the house. You need to leave the lower level window open a crack to help with the air flow. It worked very well at cooling the whole house down. When the outside temp is 90F inside will be in the low 70s.

Great place! Fit our 2 families of 4 perfectly. Really comfortable beds and beautiful kitchen. Some repairs needed on actual house but this didn’t impact our stay at all.

Great place!

We had a great stay. House was comfortable for all of us and well-located to a nearby market and Sierra at Tahoe ski resort. Our only complaint was that the kitchen lacked some basics: aluminum foil, saran wrap, salt, etc. – but that's an easy fix. Will be back!

The property was as described except you could not get down to the bank of the Truckee River in the back because it was so steep. The rooms were clean. The kitchen was adequate. There was a large refrigerator/freezer. We did not use the hot tub unfortunately. We like it mostly because it was so close to the Tahoe Rim trailhead and parts of the PCT

Lake Tahoe Ski Trip - Heavenly

The property is pretty much as advertised with the main selling point being the kitchen, as it is very renovated. This property is also a short 15-20 minute drive to downtown heavenly which makes any ski trip easy to organize. Only downside was the upstairs rooms were a little dirty with some stained furniture, but besides, that would definitely stay again.

Perfect House for our Family Snow Vacation

We had a great time at this rental. In the winter the snow in the front yard and back yard offer lots of places for fun snowplay for the kids. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Wish they would have allowed us to use the fancy espresso machine.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

It was the perfect weekend getaway for my family and I. The home has everything you need with a beautiful chef's kitchen which we absolutely loved! The only concern we had was the showers which we found a bit of a challenge to regulate the temperature of the water and the shower heads which were a bit older and didn't have good water pressure. But overall, we had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay.

Perfect group of friends/family getaway

My friends and I leased the property for 3 days and 3 nights. The place is spacious enough for everyone to be comfortable. Nice jacuzzi and big backyard. Unfortunately, we went when during the snowstorm so the backyard was filled with snow so we didn’t really get a chance to enjoy it. But the overall experience was great. Would definitely come back during the summer time.

Snowboard/ski trip made it out of the group chat

This property was perfect for our group of 10 friends to do a snowboard/ski trip. Only 20 minutes from Sierra at Tahoe and easy to get to. There was plenty of space and appliances. The kitchen had all the tools we needed and there were fun board games. The only thing was that the master bathroom tub was really not working as well. We wanted to take a bath but the hot water faucet released water in such a little amount that it would probably take 1-2 hours to fill the tub. But we still had the hot tub outside on the deck so it wasn’t a big deal.Check in and check out were easy and clear. I would come back and stay here again!

There was a lot of deferred maintenance... No amenities except for shampoo and conditioner.No shades in the upstairs master bedroom, which, although private, let a lot of light in in the morning.A major draw for for booking. It was the big master bedroom bathtub which we couldn't get any hot water to.The kitchen was beautiful and the layout was great.But we went there with whole beam coffee because of the fancy coffee maker, and then it had a sign on it saying, do not use.So we had to run out to the grocery store to get ground coffee.FORbathers to show them a bath that they cannot use is very misleading. THE MAINTENANCE MAN WAS VERY GOOD AT COMMUNICATION AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.Too bad we had to call him so often. The house was .ice enough and in a good neighborhood... For the price, more could have been done to make it feel homey

Beautiful Home one exception

The home and amenities we're very nice. Not too far from Tahoe and Kirkwood. Stayed with my wife and three daughters and my wife's parents. Plenty of room. It would be a five star review except for one thing. My niece who lives nearby stopped by to see her grandparents. She brought a dog and placed him in the snow covered yard to play while she visited with family. The dog never entered the home. I got a frantic call from the property management company saying there was a dog at the residence that the owner had been watching through her ring camera placed in the backyard...my family and I had been enjoying the spa and backyard, playing and assuming we were alone and not being watched by the owners. I don't know how much they watch the camera but a motion sensor camera pointed directly at the back deck and spa is something you should disclose to your renters. Otherwise I have zero complaints. The property management company was very nice and professional and was attentive to our questions. Except for the invasion of our privacy everything was tops.

The house was very comfortable and clean. I was impressed with the appliances in the kitchen-a advance level coffee machine that makes the yummiest latte made me a coffee person from a person who used to prefer tea. Outdoors has a charming backyard with a pristine stream flowing. Will love to visit again.

Beautiful home in a great location

The house was comfortable and clean, centrally located to all of the South Lake Tahoe ski resorts. We enjoyed the hot tub with a beautiful view of the a mountain and stars. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. This is the perfect rental house for a trip to Tahoe year-round.

Gourmet River Home

We loved the kitchen in this beautiful River home. We had a weeklong family reunion for 10. There were 6 adults and four children ages 8-17.The River was low, perfect for adventures and rock jumping. The response time from the property manager was always prompt when we needed anything. We did feel they needed to have dining chairs for 10 when in fact they had a six person dining table with two chairs at bar. This could be easily resolved with an extra chair at bar and one more at table. We found ourselves eating in shifts or two people standing at dinner. The kitchen was beautiful and gourmet. It was well supplied and nothing lacking. A large skillet would have been nice since the griddle was non operational. We would have liked to have more comfortable outdoor furniture to relax in. The children loved the hot tub and it was clean. The location was only about 15-30 minutes from most activities we chose to do. Baldwin Beach, Heavenly Gondola, River Rafting Tahoe City (60 min), Angora Lake, Rubicon trail from Bliss Park, Concert at Heavenly, and Biking around Camp Richardson. We wish we could have used the outdoor fire pit but with the wildfires close by we completely understood. We would stay again because of the quick response to the few problems we did have.

Amazing kitchen!

The property was immaculate and comfortable for our family of nine. We enjoyed the home. Kitchen was second to none! Great and reflective of a high caliber home. The texting ability with property manager was helpful and incredibly responsive. We typically are not the family that reaches out. But needed to for a couple of things this trip twice. Recommendation would be to supply more towels. There were barely enough bath towels for our family and definitely not enough wash cloths or hand towels. Bedrooms downstairs and upstairs lack nightstands or dressers. Everything had to be put on the floors. The property next door has a full view of master bedroom and there are zero window coverings. We could see people outside. No option for privacy. Should be noted on the website that cellular devices may not work. Also instructions need to be given on how to handle trash when it is full. Lastly, the street sign says Beaver Brea not Beaver Brae.
