About this property

The Forge Esperaza

Enjoy this beautiful house in the heart of the Aude valley. The Forge is spacious and well equipped with its own private pool and garden. Situated in the centre of Esperaza but on a quiet street you are just a walk away from shops and cafe's and the vibrant sunday market selling local produce, clothes and gifts handmade by local artisans. The area itself is rich in history, Cathar castles, Templar legends, Rennes le Chateau, Dinosaur Museum, Bugarach, Galamus, Montsegur. Ideally placed between Quillan with its restaurants and Lake, Limoux with its town square full of places to eat or enjoy a coffee and with its summer night markets but also just a 40 minute drive to Carcassonne with the beautiful Cite. Lots of sporting activities are also available in the area for example white water rafting, kayaking, horse riding, trekking and bicycle routes.
The house itself is large and airy with a well equipped kitchen, large comfortable bedrooms, seperate dining room and a spacious living room with tv. The outside space is completely private with outdoor furniture, a bbq and seperate shower room/wc and of course your own private pool!

We love this area and this is the best property we have stayed in so far in terms of location, space, and facilities. The pool was a godsend in the heat and Joe and Sara were super helpful when needed.

Wonderfull stay at “La forge”

The house is really large!! The patio and terras are magnificent! It really summarises life in “La douce France”! You can relax in 3 levels!!! Pool, upperterras and terras by the kitchen! The kitchen provides all that is necessary. Very well equippet! There was a nice attention to welcome us! Thanks by the way Joe and Sara! We would have liked to stay for 3 months, but unfortunately that wasn’t an option…. The village of Esperaza was also great! Very nice people and the dining was also great! I would recommand to everyone!!

Belle maison confortable , idéale en famille

Nous avons bien profite des nombreuses randonnées alentours et des jolis villages comme rennes le château . La maison est proche des commerces et de la vie de village , très pratique ! La literie très confortable et la piscine était à 29-30 grâce à la bâche.

Une maison très agréable, fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Intérieur et extérieur superbes. Cadre idéal pour un grand groupe car spacieux et bien agencé. À ajouter peut-être et ce sera parfait : fil à linge ou étendoir et table à repasser.
