Overall our stay was wonderful. The view is amazing and really made us relax and rejuvenate! The house was very comfortable with plenty of seating for friends and family, and the screened in porch and outside deck had plenty of seating as well. The only disappointment was having to run to the store for several necessities that we thought would have been provided, but all in all our stay was great. Would stay here again.

We had a very relaxing week. My husband and I took our two teenaged daughters for a week on the lake. The house was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The swimming off the dock was excellent and the surroundings are beautiful.

Lovely cottage on our favorite lake.

We spent most our time relaxing on the porch overlooking the lake from the top of the hill. We enjoyed making friends with the local chipmunks, feeding them sunflower seeds from my lap. We really enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful view.

Very good stay

My family had a wonderful time. We found the house very well set up for our time here - plenty of kitchen equipment, excellent in and outdoor seating, a well maintained grill, solid A/C ( it was abnormally hot weather during our stay) and enough water equipment to keep us all very occupied. We really enjoyed swimming in the clear and clean water. We came in July and the water was a very pleasant temperature. The house is very clean as well! The host is very responsive and able to help point you in the right direction for all you may need for a successful vacation at their lake house. Thanks for letting us use your home!

The lake house has running filtered water from the lake not unlike many properties on the lake. The information is on the posting. We have had many renters over the years who enjoy their time at our scenic viewed cottage without a concern.

Unbelievably quiet

Wonderful time relaxing on the lake. I’m not a fan of the “lake weed” and so this spot was perfect with rocky shore that drop off quickly! No vegetative leg attacks! The only consideration to be aware of is it is over 3 miles away from the boat rental place. So my husband does not recommend if you have a car and want to rent kayaks with the goal of cruising them back for the weekend (and my teenage son never wants to look at a kayak again) Otherwise would 100% recommend For a rustic weekend getaway.

Lake House Retreat on Lake Bomoseen

The cottage location, property and lake were even better than we imagined. I took a swim in the beautiful, clear lake. Lovely! The fabulous screened in porch was where we ate, drank, worked on puzzles and mostly observed the wildlife, including a ‘resident’ Osprey, nesting finches, phoebes and other birds. We had a chipmunk friend who ate out of our hands and in our laps, while we relaxed on the deck overlooking the lake. The whole cottage had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was very well equipped as well. We used the grill on the deck and basked in the beauty of nature. Lynn was very helpful with a few questions we had, and enthusiastic as well… very nice. Our only outings were to Robo’s General Store for a couple supplies and ice cream. Great little place! We also had lunch at The Lakehouse Pub on Rte. 30 on the opposite side of the lake. Outstanding service and food, highly recommended. Overall, our best getaway ever!!!

New favorite summer spot but please don't tell anyone.

We stayed here with a group of close friends and had a wonderful time on the lake, kayaking, floating and swimming. The views in the backyard were great from both decks and by the water. At night, the screen porch was nice to keep the bugs out (celing fan was great). The house was air conditioned and comfortable to sleep in with ac's in the bedrooms and one in the main room. The kitchen was fully stocked and we ended up not needing a lot of the things we brought like trash bags, paper towels, oils, a few necessary spices for cooking on the grill. The grill worked but not great, that is my only complaint but it ended up doing the job! The interior was old and rustic but the decor was wonderful exactly as expected for a lake house. There were a number of floaties in a bin outside, most of which worked and sufficient for our needs. The walkway to the dock is a little steep (like most houses in the neighborhood) but not a problem for us. My calf muscles are amazing now. The owner was super responsive and answered my few questions. Thank again! We definitely look forward to booking again next summer.
