Silver Lake Dune Buggy Rides At Silver Lake (1 hour north), ride a dune buggy for a great view of the miles of massive high dunes.
NOAA:Lake Conditions Always be aware of lake and weather conditions. Lake Michigan is a beautiful but powerful lake. Check NOAA for rip tides and never swim within 150 ft of any structure or pier. When the waves are high, we often take the grandkids to Muskegon Lake. There are several web cams to check out the view on the beaches.

About the host
Hosted by Rose Dykstra
We built this home in 2011 as our dream beach home to be able to spend time with family and friends. We just love the uniqueness of this beach town, the many trails, lighthouses and piers, the boardwalks, the naval museum and actual world war ll submarine, the amazing and award winning white sand beaches, and fantastic local cuisine. It is just a beautiful place to live and explore. Besides the swimming with family and grandchildren and walking along the beaches, my absolute favorite time is watching the glorious sunsets...the colors and views over Lake Michigan as it sinks into the lake is a gift.
Why they chose this property
The best aspects of this property are the views of the Muskegon Channel, all of the large ships, ferries, sailboats, Muskegon State Park Dunes, the easy walking to 2 lakes (Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake), the absolutely beautiful beaches, the year round walking and views. We have a very large, covered patio that we enjoy as an outdoor room to be able to enjoy so many parts of the day...coffee, meals, reading and game time, a glass of wine and watching the most beautiful sunsets.
What makes this property unique
5 minute walk to the first beach on Lake Michigan. another 5 minute walk to the next beach on Lake Michigan. Muskegon Lake is a 10 minute walk east of the house. Three lighthouses within those same distances.
