Thank you for your interest in our coastal home in Mid-Coast Maine. We are excited to share this dreamy island spot with you. Come visit our cottage on a cove with nature and sea surrounding you.

No boat is required to reach Barter’s Island...just drive your vehicle across the small swing drawbridge by the country store. Once you are here, you can enjoy cocktails on the deck, kayak off the dock when the tide is in, or roast s'mores by the fire pit. If you are looking for more excitement or adventure, it is available just 10 minutes away in Boothbay Harbor where you will find shopping, fine dining, and boat trips. Even closer, by car or kayak, is the stunning setting of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Amazing vacation home

The house is wonderful, exactly as described, and a perfect space for our family while we visited the area! Great location, beautiful outside spaces to relax, and it had everything we needed plus lots more that were nice additions to our stay. It was super clean with comfortable beds and the communication from start to finish with the owners was awesome. We would absolutely recommend it and stay here again!

Our stay was wonderful. Perfect family vacation spot. We loved the view, absolutely beautiful, enjoyed the private dock, availability of kayaks, grill, fire pit, outside sitting area. Fit the 6 of us well. House was clean and “homelike”, a home away from home. Would highly recommend staying here and want to plan a return stay.

Beautiful Stay!

This property was amazingly beautiful! We enjoyed watching the birds every morning from the expansive picture windows that look out over the water! The beds were comfy, property had everything you needed and even included two fire pits and kayaks you could use. Thanks for sharing your breathtaking piece of heaven with us!

Magical get away

Enjoyed our repeat stay at this charming waterfront cottage on tidal cove. You can walk out your front door and pop into a kayak. There is lots of day trips and hiking reserves in the area. We will be back.

Beautiful and quiet location with plenary to do within short car rides. How nice to be able to kayak at high tide. Nice accommodations!

Beautiful location! Check in/ door lock easy to use! WiFi good, kitchen well equipped. Beds were good. Master bathroom shower leeks, that should be addressed. Would prefer curtains on the windows in the living room and dining area.

Lovely home in Trevett

This is our second year staying at this wonderful house in Maine. It was a bit warmer this year but we enjoyed it despite that. The house whas a ton of light and looks out on a peaceful cove. Even though Boothbay is close it seems like you are a world away from it because of the location. We hope to stay here again next year.

Christmas at Boothbay

The location was beautiful and very peaceful. The house was clean and well stocked. It was a beautiful place to spend Christmas and I would recommend this home any time of the year!

Annual trip to Boothbay

Always enjoy our visits to Maine. We've been going for about 20 years, and have stayed at a few different places over that period of time! The weather is always different each year, but enjoyable.

Maine water view

Loved the house. Great view of the water. Host was amazing. Kitchen was stocked with pans and spices. Very relaxing area. Enough towels hot water. Will stay again and again.

Piece of heaven

Quiet tidal cove

The property was just as described. Kayaking around the cove was great with one-of-a-kind views. Location was close enough to town for easy day trips. Fantastic food and great people at the local Trevett store at island entrance. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and the host was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful house

Very well stocked. Plenty of space. Nicely furnished. Great views. Had everything we needed. Separate spaces, living room & other sitting area. You Tube tv in LR worked well. However, the tv in the other sitting area didnt have you tube tv. We couldnt figure out how to watch tv on it. Orherwuse, very nice place. Recommend it.

Lovely property

We all enjoyed our stay very much. The location is really beautiful and peaceful. Tried kayaking for the first time which was a fun experience. I love how the house sits on the cove. Inside it is open and full of light. We enjoyed sitting outside on both the front and back decks. We saw different birds and even a deer on the property behind the house. We already booked it for next summer!

A peaceful, convenient setting for a great Maine experience

This is a scenic, peaceful setting in a quiet location that is still incredibly convenient to all of Boothbay's attractions. Our party of seven was comfortable and enjoyed kayaking and sitting on the deck to enjoy the harbor breezes. The cottage is an easy drive from downtown Boothbay and not far from Wiscasset. We enjoyed trying most of the local ice cream shops. A grocery store and Walgreens are nearby, which was fortunate as a few of us were under the weather. Were it not for a few plumbing problems, we would give it a perfect score. The owners, Jennifer and Seth, were extremely responsive and did all they could to address the plumbing issues. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a great Boothbay experience.

Perfect Location

The house is so peaceful and located in a very private, quiet area. Waking up every morning to such a beautiful view was something I'll always remember. The house was very comfortable and well stocked. Jennifer was always very responsive when we needed her. The only thing we could have used was a few more mirrors in the bathroom (such a petty request, but when my husband tried to shave it was a bit challenging). Overall, I can easily recommend staying at this lovely home. Wish I was still there.

Waterfront beauty!

Our family all enjoyed this beautiful waterfront home for the week we were there! It is so peaceful and relaxing. Every morning my husband and I sat on the back porch and enjoyed our coffee. Our adult kids loved kayaking, reading on the porch, swimming from the dock, and crabbing. This was a great location. We went to Boothbay Harbor several times and The Maine Botanical Gardens right down the road was fun! Pemaquid Point Lighthouse was really great too. We had no problems or issues. Everything was wonderful.

Exactly what we were looking for.

Our family had a wonderful time, thanks to this beautiful location. Your comfortable home provided ample space for our loved ones to visit with our mother/grandmother, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The pictures simply do no justice to the real views.
