The house was very clean and well-furnished and included all the amenities necessary for an extended stay. Easy access to Black Mountain, Asheville and surrounding areas.
The house is comfortable and beautiful. It is equipped with all you’ll need for your stay in abundance. It’s very close to Black Mountain. The host is easy to communicate with and is very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again.
This house suited our short stay in Black Mountain perfectly. It's a nice newer house than some of our other stays in the area. Also, very convenient to downtown Black Mountain and the golf course.
The house is clean, cozy, well-decorated, functional. We all loved it, just the right size for a vacation for a family of 7. The kitchen is well stocked and was able to cook breakfast with ease. Nice space to relax after a day of activities. Very much recommended!
The house was what we needed as we were up in the area helping with hurricane relief efforts. Great easy to get to location and great amenities. Host was upfront with current water conditions and communication was open and quick. Would definitely stay in the house again when the area returns back to normal visiting.
A nice property, that could use some maintenance and updating. The neighborhood, and the neighbors, are great. Hopefully Black Mountain, and the entire region, make a full recovery because it's a wonderful town.
We’ve stayed in our fair share of rentals, and this place is not like the others. It felt more like we were staying in our friend’s NICE home, and not a rental. Comfortable furniture, comfortable beds with extra pillows or blankets, full kitchen, lots of places to relax, great access to Asheville, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock. We brought our pup and there is a close neighborhood to go on short or long walks.
Would highly recommend this place!

Melissa,
You and your party are welcome back anytime. It was so clean and tidy after you left, we hardly knew anyone had used the place. We can’t be that neat so don’t know how you did but we thank you much. Michael and Ashlee
Cozy cottage. Comfortable living area and well stocked kitchen if you decide to do a few meals in. Two screened in porch areas (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). There were just the two of us but the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Would be a great space for families with two additional bedrooms upstairs.
Close to a charming downtown area. Minutes from Asheville and a short drive to so many other spots like Chimney Rock, Blowing Rock and of course a visit to The Biltmore. Would also highly recommend the LaZoom comedy bus tour and the French Broad chocolate factory tour.
Good communication but we also had zero issues with our wonderful stay.
We stayed for two weeks and absolutely loved the Black Mountain area. Black Mountain is very close to many other popular cities like Ashville, Hendersonville, Waynesville, and many beautiful waterfalls, trails, exc. There are also several other excellent restaurants like the Black Mountain Bistro where you can get an amazing filet mignon for 30 bucks and Louises Kitchen for breakfast. Get their pancakes with the vanilla syrup, you won't be disappointed. There are also many wonderful coffee shops, but my favorite by far is the Dynamite Roasting Coffee Bar. They have an amazing Mocha Latte. While you're walking around town, you have to stop at Kilwins Ice Cream Shop. They have the bets chocolate peanut butter ice cream cones, so yummy! Then there's Chimney Rock with amazing views and so much more. Some of the smaller surrounding towns are still picking up the pieces from Helene, but they are open and need our support. If you get a chance, please go to the Lake Lure area and support the local restaurants and shops. They are open and you can also see how devastating the floods affected that area. I could go on and on about the Fall colors, the bears and deer but I'll stop for now. Please check out this amazing small town and support the locals as they continue to rebuild this beautiful area. We plan on moving up here within the next 6 months, so that's how much we love it there!
The house was spotless and very comfortable. We didn't cook in, but the kitchen was very well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet. We were three friends Everything was perfect for a girl's weekend and we so appreciate your sharing this sweet place with us. Thank you for everything.
Great location, about 15 minutes from Asheville. Very nice, clean house. Our daughter had the entire upstairs to herself, and she loved it. Very cool, screened window-sitting area upstairs. We definitely would stay here if we come back.
This cozy home is adorable and just what we needed for a wonderful family weekend. Close to Asheville and the cute town of Black Mountain. There was ample space for my husband, daughter and I and our son and a friend who visited during the day. The kitchen had everything we needed including some basic spices and coffee filters. The beds were all comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. The screen porches were great even though it was a bit cold to spend time there for us. We did sit in the sun on the front porch and it was great! The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was a special weekend.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location near downtown Black Mountain for food and shopping. It’s also very close to Montreat where there are awesome hikes. I’d highly recommend as it had everything we needed and more. Thanks!
We loved the property and will definitely go back. I've never seen such a cozy screen porch as the one upstairs and the downstairs screen porch has fantastic views. As a Real Estate Broker, I would love to have an Architect copy of the the floorplan. Great place!
Great place, well furnished, great central location, well stocked and very nice decor, -could use printed directions/guide to what is actually available ( here in the mountains) for tv to access network stations. Gas grill was available outside but due to restricted gas flow, were not able to get enough flame to cook with. Used kitchen instead.
Overall, very pleased and would rent again.
Come to NC for a bike race and to evaluate a relocation . This Stay was probably the best VRBO I have ever stayed in . It felt like home right from the get-go . The owners was engaged and equipped the house like they live in it themselves . Thank you . If we come back to look for a house we will try to stay here. Black Mountain is a great community as well and close to Asheville and outdoor activities
House was centrally located for our needs, and it was adequate for us.

Hi, I am a financial advisor with a side interest in real estate. I love western North Carolina, being a native myself, and was excited to have the opportunity to purchase this beautiful property and offer it to visitors coming to explore this diverse area. I am admittedly "learning" how to be a short term rental manager, so hope you will offer your kind and helpful advice if you stay in my home! My wife helps me manage this property, and is also readily available for questions, concerns, or needs. I hope you'll give Pristine Peak a try; come dive into the wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains with endless waterfalls, hiking trails, rivers, local music, the Biltmore, historic Grove Park, amazing eateries with endless choices between Black Mountain and Asheville, and much more!
Why they chose this property
The vibe of this home is refreshing: airy, comforting, clean, and regional. The 3 porches are a fabulous plus, providing plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air and feeling of being outdoors. The location of Pristine Peak is also ideal, being 5 miles from downtown Black Mountain but also located on the Asheville side with only a 15 minute drive. Not only is the home spacious on the inside, it is spacious also on the outside, with plenty of parking in front of the home and in front of the front porch, in addition to an enclosed garage. Dynamite Roasting, a local favorite coffee shop is a walkable distance away located right on Old Hwy 70 (although you might want to drive since there is no sidewalk available). We also love the French and Argentina inspired restaurant La Guinguette with an experienced passionate and world traveled chef (featuring crepes and personal garden). Tucked back into Montreat College area are endless trails to explore, including riverside locations to picnic. We could go on and on.
