Located within the heart of downtown in close proximity to the Black Mountain Greenway, Lake Tomahawk Park, and the Black Mountain Golf Club, the home's premier location provides plenty of opportunities to explore all that the area has to offer. Start your day off by taking a 15-minute stroll across the street to reach The Oaks Trail greenway, or take a walk through the woods on the Montreat athletic campus just down the block. After a brisk morning walk, take a brief 7-minute drive to Black Mountain Golf Course to play a round or two in the sunshine before making your way downtown to check out the many shops, galleries, restaurants, breweries, and cafes. After shopping and dining, stop by Lake Tomahawk Park (5-minute drive; 25-minute walk) to read and relax as you take in the gorgeous scenery and wildlife. Offering an elliptical walking path that boasts a picturesque view of the Seven Sisters Mountain range, the lake is a lovely place to walk at dusk as the sun begins to set.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Black Mountain is just 10 minutes from the town of Montreat, where you can find endless walking trails that wind through lush rhododendrons, along babbling creeks, and climb mountain peaks overlooking the Swannanoa Valley. You can also take a short drive into Old Fort (15-minute drive) or Asheville (25-minute drive) for even more activities and attractions. If hiking isn't your forte, but you still long for those panoramic mountain views, drive along the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy the changing seasons and stop along the convenient overlooks.
