Excellent property for a family of 5
Excellent property. Excellent, comfortable beds (provide your own sheets). Big fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and table in the kitchen. Shower was over the bath and unfortunately didn't have anywhere to 'hang' the shower head, like so many other French properties. Plenty of hot water. Only 1 toilet, which was a minor inconvenience, but it was separate to the bathroom with was good. Heating was excellent, we stayed over winter and the property was never cold. There is a basement in the building for hanging up wet gear and a washing machine, which was great. Le Thyl is a lovely (incredibly quiet) little hamlet with only 7 residents. The road up had several hair-pin bends (quite treacherous in the snow/ice), however we managed it daily in a normal car with 'snow socks' on the wheels. The roads were cleared daily when needed, all the way to the hamlet.I only gave 4 stars for communication because everything was in French and my French is poor. So that caused a slight hurdle when confirming check in times etc.I'd definitely recommend the house.22 minutes drive from Orelle Telecabine. (16 minutes down the hill, then 8 on the flat). Allow 30 minutes to drive in the snow/ice
