You'll love the ocean views, charming interior, and accessible ground floor location of Sealodge F1! Watch the sun rise over the ocean from the queen sized bed, read a book and listen to the waves on the Hawaiian punee (built-in window bed), or enjoy the tropical weather on your private lanai. There's also a cozy living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a modest selection of beach gear (including chairs and a cooler) to make your stay easy breezy. While Sealodge F1 has not seen recent updates, it's a clean and comfortable space, and provides a more budget friendly option for guests wanting a great ocean view.

If you want to relax and enjoy an island-style staycation, the Sealodge grounds are the perfect spot. The grounds are situated right on the vibrant green bluffs that drop away into the Pacific, and offer incredible views from wherever you look! You can spend a day soaking up the sun, and the ocean views, by the complex pool, or you can grill out on the charcoal barbecues (don't forget to BYOBriquettes!). We also highly recommend taking the short but exhilarating hike down to Sealodge Beach; the perfect secluded spot to enjoy a picnic lunch by the water, or take in a beautiful sunset.

For those that like to get out and about, you'll find Sealodge F1 ideally located for all your sightseeing adventures! Just a couple minutes down the road you'll find the Princeville Shopping Center, with plenty of restaurants and cute shops for all your dining and souvenir needs, as well as the Foodland grocery store for you to stock up on essentials. Head 15 minutes East and you can be snorkeling and swimming in the crystal clear waters at Anini Beach, or taking in the incredible sights at Kilauea Lighthouse and grabbing a bite to eat in the town afterwards. Head West towards Hanalei, and the options are even more abundant. 5 minutes and you can be teeing off or taking a sunset tour at the nationally ranked Makai golf course, or hiking down to the beautiful Hideaway Beach for even more snorkeling. 15 minutes and you're in the adorable beach town of Hanalei, with an abundance of boutique stores and delicious restaurants, not to mention the world class beaches of Hanalei Bay! If you don't mind the extra drive time, you can check out the calm waters and incredible mountain views at Tunnels Beach, or take a tour through island history and beautiful native plants at the Limahuli Gardens, both 30 minutes down the road.

Looking to make your way around the entire island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 50 minutes, and to the South Shore is about 75 minutes.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

Peaceful retreat

We loved our stay. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. We loved that the trail head to sea Lodge Beach was just outside our door. It is a beautiful beach. The views from our condo were excellent too!

The location is 10/10! In a great area, beautiful property and fun places within a few min drive. The beach chairs, cooler, and boogie boards were great to have available as well. It was lovely to have breakfast on the lanai! Easy parking. That being said, the unit itself was mediocre and kind of half baked. There were knives (some blades wobbled when used), but no cutting board of any kind. The bathroom door could not be opened/closed with the bath mat on the floor, and both bath mats were clearly dirty prior to our arrival. The welcome snacks had pretty beat up packaging, and once opened they were wet and tasted like soap. That part honestly felt like a joke. Overall, it was fine, but the unit itself is very basic given the price of the listing.

Reviewer Comments: Place was beautiful, exceeded our expectations; however, the on-site dryer failed, we reported it to the management company 5 days before we left and yet they charged us for not washing their bath towels. A cheap shot for a two week stay. P.S. there are no public laundry near this location.

Relaxing getaway

Three of us stayed at Sea Lodge, F1, and we could not have been happier. We went to bed every night listening to the waves, and woke early every morning to a beautiful sunrise with an ocean view. Everyone we encountered at Sea Lodge was friendly and happy to help out with any questions. We hiked to the little hidden beach and got to see a huge sea turtle on shore! This was a wonderful place to stay for vacation. We recommend!

We were absolutely in love with our unit. The only issue was the pool closure but, the rental agency bent over backwards to make it less painful. We will be back.

Lovely views

The views were true to the photos, they are lovely. We saw whales on a couple of occasions. The unit could use some updates. The trek to the beach cove is true to description and is treacherous. A few of our party could not make the hike down but it was worth it when we made it. The rental company was very responsive and checked in during the stay.

Tired With a View

Tired, musty, stained popcorn ceilings, fridge rusted inside and out, stained musty couch, no washer/dryer, need to pay 2.00 per load at laundry room but the washer/dryer was removed from the unit, no AC, broken and rusted knives in knife block, we had to clean patio, cushions dirty and old, paint bad, pool not heated, Great location won’t stay in F1 again.

Wonderful stay with spectacular view

We stayed in a week during shoulder season and had a wonderful time . I would definitely recommend a friend to stay here . There were few minor issues but overall they did not detract from our stay 1. Pool was closed all week 2. Since most activities are during the day , there were some early Tv nights . Tv was small and standard definition 3. There was no A/c however there was a cool breeze and we purchased an inexpensive fan to help during the day Overall we had a great time , thank you for the homeowners !!!!

The unit could use a few more amenities. It would have been nice to take some tupperware there so we could take our lunches to the beach. And some plastic forks and spoons. The outside chairs could use a back cushion to be more comfortable. It would ahve been nice to have a couople more bowls and another larger bowl for salad. Otherwise, it was quite lovely.

It's on the bottom floor and it sounded like rhinos were running back and forth and moving furniture every morning and every night as we were going to bed. The condo itself could use a good deep cleaning as well. The trash and refrigerator had smudges all over the front. The floors were free of loose dirt but in the corners you could see grime that hadn't been scrubbed.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit needs many repairs, the bathroom window fell off when we tried to open it for air. The bathroom shower towel rack was falling off from the showe door. The shower drain was clogged. We found a large centipede in the bathroom towel drawer. The blinds in the kitchen was stuck and wide open, we could not close it for privacy. The microwave above the stove was not working. The living room windows were repaired with unmatched window replacements using clear windows, which further compromised privacy. The floor and shower felt dirty, I don't think it was cleaned. The only positive about the unit was the view. I don't recommend this unit. We provided KauaiKahuna, the rental managing agency with this feedback and still haven't received a response. Not sure at this time if we would use KauaiKahuna again. We used KauaiKahuna many times in the past, never had problems with vacation units, but we are very surprised by the lack of response about customer concerns.

Beautiful location, condo was very disappointing!

I have been visiting the North Shore of Kauai for decades and stayed at Sealodge on four prior occasions, so I know about the resort and have realistic expectations for the rental units there. This was far and away the most disappointing unit that I've stayed at. On the positive side, it is on the ground floor and near the pool. On the downside, where to begin? The bed was so uncomfortable that my partner and I both had to take anti-inflammatory drugs before bed, tossed and turned all night, and would wake up with hip and back aches. The smoke detectors had been taken down. The television was an 18" tube model (if can you believe that). The light switch for one of the wall sconces and the fan didn't work. We had four very large cockroaches and sugar ants in the unit during our stay. There were no serving pieces, no baking tray or pan of any kind. The microwave above the oven did not work, nor did its light for illuminating the stove cooktop. There was a counter-top microwave that was so small that the dinner dishes (only six provided) couldn't rotate in it. The shower looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the toilet ran while we were there (I complained and wound up having to helping the repair man make it work), the bathroom sink was two inches deep and almost unusable, the bathroom faucet was so loose that you could move it in circles, the ceiling noise was so bad that it sounded as if a herd of elephants was matching over our heads, and the furniture (couch, end tables, lamps, etc.) looked as though it had been picked up at a "curb alert". Overall, the unit looked very tired, unloved or cared for, and that the owner had made a decision some time ago to not invest a penny into upgrades or basic repairs. Loved the location, but would NEVER STAY in Unit F1 again!

The best thing was the view and location The property has a funny smell to it couldn’t quite figure it outUntil later in the stayWas disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the property especially in the bathroom is obvious the place has not had a deep cleaning for some time the tile grout needs attention as does the paintThe furniture is dated and bedding could stand an upgradeWith a little attention it could be in competition with the other upgraded properties The shower drain backs up tried plunging but to no avail and the bathroom sink is nice looking but too shallow for the high faucet the water splashes all over the front of your clothesThe worst thing was the water we did not figure this out until the last couple of days when we realized we were both having daily upset stomach’s and cramping realized that it might be the water we were drinking from the faucet, stopped drinking it and started feeling much betterThe last couple of days we could smell this bad smell coming from the Water especially in the bathroom this is a big problem and needs to be addressed ASAP

With the windows and fans, it didn't get too hot inside the unit. Very polite and fast response times from the property manager. The toaster and a fan were broken on arrival, but the property manager had new ones delivered the next day. The lighting in the unit needs an overhaul. It was all very dim. Other than that, it was great. We especially liked the hidden beach nearby. There is a trail right out side the unit that leads to a secluded beach that is great for snorkeling!

PLEASE BE AWARE, there is no AC. A lot of rentals do not have AC on the island due to the price of electricity, that should be fully noted. The winds and fans did keep the room cool at night though, but when we arrived it was so hot. One of the little fans needs to be cleaned, it’s extremely dusty. I never received a message advising me that I would need to fill out information before receiving the access code to enter. When we arrived I had to call the after hours service who provided me “the first time access code”. We had one day left in our stay when they responded with the form that would need to be filled, and the form still wasn’t able to be filled because it kept saying expired, we finally got the information…but we had one day left in our 3 night stay. When we arrived there was a dead cockroach in the bedroom. I know there are roaches on the island and there is nothing really that can be done about that, but it just kind of weirded me out to arrive and there be a dead roach. My son got bit up by something of the couches, not sure what it was but he still has the marks on day 8 in HI. The people upstairs (which the host had no control of) sounded like they were playing basketball from morning until night. Nothing the host could do about that though. The host does provide you with goggles, snorkels, beach chairs, umbrella, and small cooler which is pretty convenient. The best part of all of this is the access to the private beach. It was absolutely beautiful. The hike is pretty tough so be prepared, but once you get there…it’s amazing. There were fish from the moment you enter the water. Snorkeling is awesome on the little beach.
