Loved our stay at Bobcat Run! The cabin was perfect for our home base as we explored the area. Relaxed in the hot tub and the swing on the front porch. Communication with Erika was great.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The host was excellent with responding and being flexible. We enjoyed our stay. Be prepared for some inclines getting to the cabin, but it was very pretty and peaceful. We would stay there again.
Beautiful secluded cabin near Boone and Beech Mountain ski area. Highly recommend this place and appreciate that it is dog friendly. Definitely recommend 4wd vehicle to access the property and do not rely on Google Maps. We had a great time and would stay here again.
Host is very responsive to any questions we had. House is very comfortable, close enough to everything but far enough to have peace. Loved our stay here!
Cozy cabin with all the feels of home! Hot tub was AMAZING! Perfect for our family of 4! The kids got their own rooms and we got a King bed like at home. Gas logs provided instant heat after getting out of the hot tub.
My family and I had a small vacation here and mainly stayed at the cabin. They had tons of board games and of course the hot tub! Itβs very quiet and peaceful, the front porch was somewhere nice to relax while catching up on reading. Accessing the cabin was easy and the directions given were very clear! Definitely would stay again.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Erika said just bring food and drinks & thats all we needed. Our dogs had a ball in the snow. There were supplies to clean the snow off the porch & stairs. It was a little hard to find it because we didn't see the sign due to it snowing. I'd love to stay for a longer time.
Great place to get away to private surroundings. VRBO photos were accurate. Cabin was very clean. House well stocked. We did day trips to Blowing Rock, Valley Cruises, Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain, and swam in the swimming hole with waterfall that was a short drive from cabin that we found by asking a local resident for directions. We had a great getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bobcat Run for our 21st anniversary. Loved the privacy and it was well stocked with dishes, utensils, small appliances, towels and even some pantry items.
This cute little cabin has everything you could want in a home away from home. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and are planning a return trip next year.

We live in the Raleigh area of NC and have been going to camp in the High Country area of North Carolina for over 20 years. We hope you enjoy this cabin as much as we do! Every year, we continue to fall in love with the breathtaking scenery and serene atmosphere. There is so much to do in the area, and we know you will want to plan plenty of time to experience everything northwestern NC has to offer!
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is close to all the activities and places you'll want to check out while in the Boone area. There are three skiing locations nearby including Beech Mountain, Sugar and Appalachian. Moreover, we have always enjoyed going to Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many other local vistas to admire jaw-dropping, one-of-a-kind views. Beyond that, the Watauga River and Lake are mere minutes away for all kinds of recreational water activities, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and intimate encounters with nature. For a different kind of getaway experience, ladies will enjoy shopping in Boone, Blowing Rock and West Jefferson--the plethora of stores in each town has something for everyone to enjoy.
What makes this property unique
The cabin is super clean. We also are pet lovers. We know your dog will enjoy playing in the yard in the cool weather.
The cabin is located just off of Hwy 321, with easy access to all area attractions. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Boone and 15 minutes to Valle Crucis and Watauga Lake! The cabin is private but not isolated which is nice. There is fun for all ages in Boone! Enjoy Tweetsie Railroad which has rides and activities for children ages 2-6. There is tubing and skiing for the older teenagers. For seniors who want to beat the heat, there are nice restaurants and cultural events at the University, ASU. The Appalachian Trail is nearby for those who enjoy hiking and exploring. We've equipped the cabin well and it has awesome on-site activities to handle either a quiet romantic getaway or family vacation. We have a giant Jenna, giant rug checkers, puzzles, games, a cooler for picnics and more. We've worked hard to make Bobcat Run a cabin everyone can enjoy and make lifelong memories in.
There are 2 exterior security cameras that are pointed at the driveway. They only monitor the property when vacant. They will be disarmed upon the guests arrival.
