Please read entirely so you have a good idea of what you are booking, as we will stick to our cancellation policy.
If you are interested in an early check in or late checkout, please inquire on the day of your booking. We would need to hire an additional cleaner. We also have one security camera outside, facing the front of the house, to monitor traffic. It will be on during your stay.
We are now accepting dogs! There will be dog bowls, bathroom bags, and a leash provided for you during your stay. Please be sure to include your pet in your guest list when booking. If not, upon arrival we will be immediately requesting the pet fee.
Please read the following rules for your furry friend: -- To protect the wildlife in Cascade, we require your dog to be on a leash at all times when outside. -- You must clean up after your pet outside and inside. If we find any pet poop around or in the property, you will be charged a $250 "pet poop pickup fee." -- Please do not leave your pet unattended or alone in the house, unless crated. -- Please do not allow your pet in the hot tub or on our furniture. -- You are responsible if there is any damage to the property from your pet during your stay.
Pet Fees: -- One night stay is $75 -- 2-7 night stay is $150 -- 8+ nights is $250 -- If bringing two pets, we do require an additional $50 to the pet fee.
Notes to take into account: --October-May we can have snow storms. Please be aware you may need 4-wheel drive. Check the weather for Cascade-Chipita Park as it can be very different from Colorado Springs. --We are also in a forest fire area, so fire bans may occasionally happen. The timing of this is out of our control. This may mean not being able to use certain fire features or our grill. We will try to let you know during your stay if there is high fire danger and what cannot be used. --Baer's Den doesn't have A/C, but at this elevation you rarely need it! It stays much cooler at 7,800 ft and open windows at night keeps it comfortable.

Super cozy Den! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and had a relaxing time! We loved the hot tub and the area! Beautiful property! We loved the heated tiles in the bathroom! Would stay here again!
Beautiful house! Super cozy & comfy cabin. Hot tub was super clean, outdoor fire was perfect, and loved having access to the grill. It’s not secluded, but it’s a very quiet area, we only saw the neighbors once or twice. Highly recommend the Mexican restaurant and breakfast place. We heard great things about the bar too. Lots of great hiking near by!
If you’re considering this cabin…book it! The cabin is so cozy, so clean, - and my favorite part- tastefully decorated! The attention to detail to ensure a comfortable experience has been made. I know not everyone cares about how a rental’s looks or ambience. But, there’s so many out there that seems like it’s an afterthought, full of discarded furniture and old, worn linen. This quaint, cozy cabin has a wonderful story behind it and I found a personal touch that made me smileThat personalization lets me know that there are real people who made this cabin possible. Jonathan and Kelly have been gracious hosts and I look forward to staying at their other properties as well on our return to Cascade.
We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely cabin for a few nights last week. The canyon is beautiful on the drive up and the views from the deck and house are stunning! Everything that we could have possibly needed was in the cabin. You feel secluded with the trees surrounding the property but have neighbors that were pretty silent. I loved waking up to the snow capped mountains from the master bedroom, and then each common room in the home had views of mountains and nature. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope to return. The communication was excellent and host was incredibly responsive, checking in via the app messenger, not at all intrusive but if I had a question, Phil was prompt at answering. 10000/10 would recommend!!

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home! It was clean, modern, and cozy. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the mountain air was peaceful and relaxing. It’s close enough to many activities but nestled in a quiet mountain neighborhood. Highly recommended!
Perfect for a weekend getaway from the Denver area (but definitely wanted to stay longer!). The location is beautiful, the home is immaculate and cozy and there are wonderful things to explore in the area. I wouldn't change a thing!
Everything about our stay was absolutely amazing! The hosts were kind and helpful, the property was even more beautiful than the pictures, the cabin was well appointed, and the story of the cabin’s journey made the experience even more special. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and talking with the neighbors and hearing even more stories about Mr. Baer. The hosts have honored him so beautifully! We loved our stay and plan to return many times. Thank you so much for making our visit with our son so relaxing and wonderful!
This cabin is so beautiful. The owners have done a wonderful job making sure the cabin is stocked with everything you need during your stay. My husband and I truly enjoyed staying here and definitely will stay here again. Its in a great location and close to all of the hot spots in Colorado Springs.
Quant cabin with all the amenities you could dream if. The cabin layout is awesome and most importantly the beds were so comfortable! I would say it is a pretty private place there are some neighbors mixed around but overall definitely a quiet peaceful retreat from the normal.city life. We will be back for sure!
Hosts thought of so many wonderful touches. Heated bathroom floors, treats on the counter, amazing shower and bathroom, comfortable living room seating. They were super responsive to questions and we had an awesome stay.
We just arrived back home from our stay in the mountains. This is a very clean, cute home that exceeded our expectations! Would 10/10 recommend! We would love to stay here again.
Beautiful property. We stayed the beginning of July. Even with no air conditioning, it was nice and cool. Everything that we needed was there. The neighbors are close but there is a lot of trees for that extra privacy. Neighborhood is very quiet at night. Very peaceful. It is small but nicely remodeled. Perfect for two people.
This property owner spared no expense, and creativity for this cabin. I was amazed of the comfort, and how they created the setup to support the size of this two bedroom cabin. I could honestly say I woundn't mine living in it with my Family.
My wife and I absolutely loved this quiet, comfy, beautiful little Cabin! It was perfect for a few days to getaway and enjoy the mountains. We loved sitting out back on the deck drinking our coffee in the morning or nice glass of wine at night. My wife can be “picky” but she loved Jonathan and Kelly’s Baer Den! We will be back. I think we found our quiet getaway retreat in the mountains! Thanks again Jonathan and Kelly!

Loved our stay at Baers Den! Centrally located to so many things to do. Property is truly amazing. Such a quiet neighborhood, easy to get too… nice parking area. House is great, has everything needed. Hot tub was nice for a relaxing dip each evening. Loved the open concept kitchen/living room. Bedrooms perfect & both comfy. Shower was nice as well, complete with heated floors. This is a great get-away home close to it all. Thank you!!!

We purchased this property from a hoarder in 2019. Thousands of hours of blood and sweat later, we have completely transformed this place into a modern, luxury cabin while honoring the legacy of the former owner, Mr. Baer. Transformation and design is our passion. Come enjoy our best work yet!
What makes this property unique
Baer's Den has been remodeled top to bottom with love and attention to detail. This bright, welcoming space gives you a sense of a home away from home with all the necessities to enjoy your stay. There is a flight of stairs to the deck, hot tub, and main living space. Underneath the deck, enjoy our shaded hammock chairs on those sunny summer days. Try your hand at smoking on our Traeger smoker/grill.
We are walking distance from the Mt. Esther Trail and a very close drive to many more. Colorado Springs is 15 minutes East, and Woodland Park is less than 15 minutes west. We are so close to many amenities and activities with a feeling of being away from it all! Pike's Peak Highway entrance is only 7 minutes away!
We also have a security camera facing the front door to monitor traffic. It is located outside and will be on during your stay.
