Nice quiet place, great access to the beach and other places. Just far enough away from the Seawall to avoid the crowd. A little work would make this place extremely nice.

We have had a hard year and needed to get away for a few days. This house was jus the ticket. Short 2 block walk to the beach, close to a small store and only about 15 min to Pleasure Pier. We did not have any certain agenda except to go to the beach every day for several days. We relaxed, played games at night and enjoyed the area. I hope we can get this place again. the owners were great and answered our questions promptly.

Blue Marlin was just perfect for our family and friend weekend. It was one of the cleanest places I have ever rented. The management company answered all my question promptly. Such a pretty place too. We can’t wait to go back.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review of Blue Marlin!
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Blue Marlin. This is a very well appointed beach bungalow. I was most impressed with the way the kitchen had excellent dishes, bakeware, and utensils. Our family's stay was pleasant and so comfortable. Great bathrooms! Beautiful bedrooms! Excellent customer service!

This house was seriously perfect. It was beautiful, stocked, well maintained, and close to the beach. We will definitely stay here many many many more times. The entire family enjoyed the home and continue to talk about how nice the house and area were even three weeks later.

Thank you for the wonderful, 5-star review of Blue Marlin! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you stay with us again!
Beautifully remodeled home. The pictures seen on on line do not do it justice. Short walk to the beach in a really nice neighborhood. Would definitely look to stay at this property again.

Thank you for the wonderful review! So glad you enjoyed Blue Marlin!
Good location, a couple of minutes to the beach entrance. Highly suggest renting a golf cart as it'd be a bit of a haul with kids and items. The fourth bedroom and second bathroom are downstairs which is accessible via exterior stairs (no interior stairs).

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Blue Marlin! This beachside home is a short walk to the beach and we agree with children, beach toys and other items, a golf cart rental is a great idea!
We hope you return to visit the island again in the future!
It's an older property but a lot of it has been remodeled. We have 3 kids there (4, 2.5 and 1) and while it's only a short walk to the beach (7-10 minutes), I wish it had been a block shorter to be ideal with kids that small. Overall, I'd highly recommend it!
Thoughtfully equipped space.
Local host responded to inquiries quickly; and left useful information about the space for quick reference. Great, friendly neighborhood with a short walk to West Beach. (No driving allowed on West Beach so great for families with small children.)

The key was unable to open our door without many tries and even with repeated assistance of the maintenence staff. We waited for assistance over an hour twice while being attacked by hordes of mosquitoes. We resorted to leaving the house unlocked and staff came to fix the problem with a second door and that also was unable to be opened, and then we were still locked out.
This house was great for our family vacation! There was 9 of us and it was very comfortable for everyone. Location is great, close to the beach within walking distance and close to town with many fun things to do. Quiet neighborhood perfect for families. The dishwasher didnt work during our stay but that was really no big deal. The living room tv also went out during our stay but again it was no big deal and i would recommend this house to anyone ! It was clean and nicely remodeled felt like home for our week stay.
This was a nice place to stay for our family. We didn’t realize that the 4th room was not directly connected to the rest of the house which left our teenager alone each night. He loved it though! A few pantry staples would have been helpful but the appliances, table settings, and cookware were plenty. Beach access was an easy walk and the neighborhood was quiet.

Nice little beach house
The house was clean and well equipped. The biggest thing to note is that the second bathroom and one of the bedrooms is completely separate from the rest of the house and only able to access from the outside. It worked okay for our group but would have been nice to have another bathroom (shower) that was accessible to the rest of the house. Additionally, there were no streaming services, just regular cable. Again, not a big deal but made things a little tough with the little ones at the end of a long beach day, especially because the cable kept going out. Aside from that, the kitchen, dining room, living room layout was great for hanging out. Beds were comfortable. And you can’t beat the location - Pirate’s Beach is a great neighborhood.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you found the house clean, well-equipped, and comfortable — and that the layout worked well for spending time together. We agree, Pirate’s Beach is a fantastic location!
We appreciate you pointing out the layout of the second bathroom and bedroom. While it does offer added privacy for some guests, we understand it may not be ideal for every group. We'll also look into options for improving the entertainment setup, especially for families with little ones – and we’ll investigate the cable issues you experienced to ensure it’s more reliable moving forward.
Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope to host you again in the future!
Overall nice, enough room for us. House needs handyman. Outside shower was nice ,would be better if head was replaced. Hose sprayer needs work. The slidding doors into house. The one behind coach locks wit key. The other does not lock with key, and handle came unscrewed. There is a draw the face pulls off in kitchen. Loved the washer and dryer. The bathrom showers were enjoyed by all. The small things like flatware and utensils was nice. The coach was very comfy, table was sat around alot. The aircondition worked very well. We all slept very well.

Four of us got splinters from the deck on the first day. It needs to be refinished. They didn’t have any beach towels, beach chairs or toys for sandcastles or boogie boards. The internet didn’t work for our entire trip (they said it might go in and out) and the TV/DVD remotes didn’t work either. But it was really close walking distance to beach and 15 minute drive to food and activities. It was decorated cute, the AC worked really we and the bed was comfy.
We loved the location of the home and the feel of the neighborhood. It was very special that it had a sauna - don't find that often. Our son is a crossfit instructor and THAT was his big treat! The cabin was actually VERY clean, but the sofas looked dirty because they are old, but I loved the abundance of seating. The dining chairs did not roll smoothly, but well enough. The kitched was well equipped. We loved the openness to the livng area. Most of the blinds did not work well in the living area and took extra care to open and close. Many slats were missing on the double-glass doors, so there was no real privacy at night. We enjoyed games at the dining table and sitting on the deck at night. Didn't use the beds downstairs. We picked up our 89-year-old mil to spend an afternoon/dinner with us, and she was able to get up the stairs, so we loved that it wasn't a home really high up off the ground. We'd thought about bringing a table for downstairs to have dinner with her there in case she could not make it up the stairs, but saw that there was one down there in the pics. However, when we arrived, we found the table was very tiny .
We could not get the downstairs shower to work. It was a last-minute trip. We would rent the cabin again for sure. Shower pressure upstairs was good. Beds were comfy. Didn't use the two beds downstairs, but they looked comfy! We have an extra charge on our credit card, though, and are waiting to find out what that is about.
