Located on picturesque Flat Mountain Road, just 3 miles to the center of Highlands, this completely renovated 3BR/2BA offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of old Highlands in an elegantly decorated cottage.
Built in 1945, the house was completely renovated and professionally decorated in 2020. Enter the living room with beamed ceilings, natural stone fireplace(gas), and hardwood floors and then wander into the dining area with vintage light fixture and French doors. The adjoining kitchen is completely refurbished with custom cabinets, a copper farmhouse sink, antique Honduran Mahogany countertops, and wine cooler with brand new washer and dryer in adjacent room. Discover the spacious master suite with King bed, vaulted ceilings, and leather floor that opens into an en-suite that includes double vanity and a tile and glass shower. Two bedrooms on the opposite side of the house each have large walk-in closets and share an updated Jack and Jill bathroom with an antique vanity and copper sink. One boasts a Queen bed and the other a large antique wood and leather desk with a Full Murphy bed.
The elegance and style of the home are complemented by the unique beauty of the outdoor space. Nestled on nearly an acre, this home affords you the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Highlands in seclusion. The rocking chair front porch invites you to swing away an afternoon while the screened porch offers a relaxing view of the backyard, fire pit, and chicken coop. A path leads you to a wooded area behind the home where you’ll discover an adorable She Shed and small hideaway cellar beneath the chicken coop. Spend the evening at the fire pit or enjoy a meal at the picnic table by the barn as you relax to the sound of a waterfall cascading into the small pond on the property. Explore the fenced garden with blackberry bushes planted new in Spring 2021. Shoot baskets at the basketball hoop on the barn, relax inside with the barn doors open playing board games, or pass the time in the loft watching TV or trying your hand at the top of the line Tornado foosball table. Professionally designed landscaping blends beautifully with mature trees to create a one of a kind property. Home comes equipped with cable, high speed internet with WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances including microwave, gas range, coffee maker, side-by-side refrigerator, Anova sous vide, vacuum sealer, electric griddle, and disposal. Outdoor propane gas grill, portable crib, new washer and dryer, air-conditioning, and smart TVs located in living room, master bedroom, and barn loft. Home is all on one level with three stairs to get on to front porch. Excellent cell phone reception in the area. Road is state-maintained. Trash pickup service included.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Our cancellation policy (effective for bookings confirmed after April 1, 2024) is outlined below:
For reservations that are 21 days or less, A reservation cancelled ( by email receipt ) between 0 - 45 days prior to arrival is not eligible for a refund. If reservation is cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival, guest shall receive a refund of all payments made* less a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost of the reservation AND the cost of any trip insurance if purchased.
*Refunds do not include third-party service fees as those are determined by the booking site and we do not control how those funds are processed.
For any reservations that are more than 21 days, No refund will be given unless the property is re-rented over the previously booked dates.
