Located within minutes from Park Rapids and 20 to Itasca. Great amenities, house was perfectly remodeled. Would stay here and and am sure you won’t be disappointed. Parking area is a bit tight, especially if you have a boat and trailer, but do-able.
We enjoyed our stay very much. We needed a place to relax and unwind and this cabin on Portage Lake did the trick. The cabin itself was nice and clean with pretty much everything a person would need. The sunrise and sunset on the lake was absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely recommend Whispering Pines Cabin.

Thank You for staying! We agree that the sunsets and sunrises are amazing. We try to provide anything we would enjoy during a relaxing stay, so we are open to new ideas. We have lots of yard games, games, movies, paddle boards and kayaks, life jackets, swim raft, fire pit area, outdoor lights, grill and outdoor tables, a few toys and art supplies for children, adult coloring and word puzzle books, as well as a variety of books for reading.
We loved the lake home. Plenty of room and loved looking at the lake. Close to town for shopping and dining out. Easy to get to. Would stay again .

These ladies know how to have a great time. Glad they chose us to have their Girls Trip. Such great guests who left the cabin clean and full of the joy they had there that week. Consider us if you ever come this way again.
We enjoyed the amount of space for all of us to spread out during our stay. The listing did have a hot tub but there wasn’t one and we were disappointed by that. It was still a great stay.

Thanks for the positive review. If you could share with us the details of where you found the listing with a hot tub, we would like get that cleared up. We have never had a hot tub and if there is a duplicate listing, we can get that addressed.
Thanks again for coming to stay.
We had a great time here!! Well stocked home and lots of indoor and outdoor toys for both kids and adults. The sandy beach, raft, kayaks and paddle boards were the favorites!! The separate 3 season porch was great for the kids to play on the rainy days!
We had a great time at Whispering Pines. The weather was very Hot but we made the best of by staying busy. We caught some fish on the lake too. It was a great place to end our summer!
Nice clean, quiet cabin with lots of room to relax in. We had really good luck fishing too! Never a dull moment and we didn’t want our vacation to end. Very happy with our experience at Whispering Pines on Portage Lake.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for being such a great guest. Come back soon.
Left a note for owner on our departure; any issues were not that important. The location was wonderful: easy access to Itasca State Park and to Park Rapids. The dry firewood offered was greatly appreciated, especially after a downpour the night we arrived.

Glad you had a great week. Really appreciated the communication and how clean the place was when you left. Great guests and hope you come stay with us again.
Great place to stay. Dock has a bench, fire pit area is outstanding and has lights. Kayaks were fun to watch the sunset on the water. Comfortable bed and the grill was clean and worked flawlessly. Deck is a great place to soak up the woods. All that and it’s only 20 minutes to Itaska.
We really enjoyed our stay. Tammie was great and answered all of our questions. The property is very private and quite. Arrival process was very simple. This property far exceeded our expectations and we would recommend to any one looking for a property of this type. The property was stocked extremely well. We will definitely return.
We had a girls trip planned and this location is perfect for a day or 2 at Itasca State Park and another day at the Spa in Nisswa! Also did some shopping at some awesome shops and ate out in Park Rapids.. I highly recommend The Good Life Cafe in Park Rapids and Salvage Sisters in Baxter and the Calming Waters massage at Glacial Waters Spa in Nisswa, mn.
