Quiet get away for husband and I for husband's birthday.

The property was beautiful and cozy with plenty of relaxation. The fire pit and hot tub were perfect for an evening after hiking near by.

Very nice and clean place

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear's Den, it was very clean and gorgeous property, with very nice hosts. It was a great location for us to stay too since we came up to paddle the Nantahala river. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Franklin area.

Comfy stay, beautiful location inside and out.

Our stay was very comfortable. The pictures don't do the inside justice. The covered porch ended up being a huge benefit in the rain. We hit up the grocery store and stayed in all weekend. The hot tub was spotless, warm, easy to use. The location had beautiful views on the drive up and around the property. Very quiet and serene. I would stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

The cabin was very clean and was just as described in the listing online. The location was the perfect distance to downtown. This is an amazing getaway destination and would love to visit again in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

Perfect location to town. Beautiful scenery and saw deer on the drive in and out. The property offered everything that you would need. Great trip and would like to return for another weekend getaway.

Weekend away at the bears den

My husband and I had a very relaxing stay at the bears den. Everything was clean and very cozy! Loved the hot tub! It wasn’t quite as isolated as it seemed in the pictures but it was still very nice!

Great Place to Stay!

The house and property were comfortable, well maintained, met all of our expectations and needs. We loved to close proximity to trail systems and the town of Franklin which has plenty and restaurants and shops to fulfill your needs. I would definitely stay at this property again. Excellent place for a couples getaway. Very clean and neat place with beautiful scenery. My wife and I have stayed at many cabin rentals but this place is on top of our list now!! Wonderful creek access and a very nice hot tub. Close to hiking and Wayah Bald.

Wonderful little charm!

The Bear's Den is even more beautiful and comfy than pictures show. It was peaceful and just what my husband and I needed on a get away trip! There is plenty of nearby hiking, history, great food, and activities. Not to mention just a hop away from Bryson City and the Nantahala River.

My husband have lived in Franklin for twenty years and absolutely love living in the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. We own a construction business and have four kids. This is our first VRBO listing and we are very excited to host guests!

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful, quaint, one bedroom cabin surrounded by majestic mountains. The cabin has barn wood siding, a front porch with two rockers, a screened in porch with a hot tub, and a table and two chairs for outdoor dining. There is an outdoor firepit and a grill as well. Inside the cabin is one queen bed, a living/den area with loveseat, chair, TV, internet, kitchen, tiled bathroom floor and shower. The cabin is decorated with barn wood furniture built by my husband, including barn wood shutters.

What makes this property unique

Flat driveway with easy access all year long, close to town, close to Appalachian Trail, hiking on nearby trails, beautiful local waterfalls, kayaking, tubing.
