Easy access to Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven, quiet street overlooking Crystal Lake and the Vineyard Sound. House has five bedrooms (all new beds), three full bathrooms plus outdoor shower, fireplace, large living room, hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, outdoor grill, glass and screened in porch, with wide wrap-around-porch. Great for families. Large yard for croquet, and space for kids to play. Beach is 1 mile from house.
Ideal time to contact is Nov-Dec. before the summer months. This is in part because ferry reservations typically open up mid-January, and is a good idea to book as early as possible.

Great house in a great location!

Lots of room in the house and easy to get everywhere on the island. This is a great neighborhood with little tourist traffic.

Great house in East Chop!

Perfect location to ride bikes to Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs! Plenty of room for a large family of all ages! We had a wonderful time.

The Bridge

The house is very spacious and the location was great. I was able to contact the owner via email with issues that had occurred. The response was very quick. The house was able to accommodate 9 of us comfortably. Shopping is 10 minutes away and the beach is 5 minutes from the house. Thanks again for a great vacation.

Tranquility and Comfort

We just returned home after a wonderful week in MV. We loved this spacious and comfortable home which met our needs perfectly for our family and friends. This home is very clean and comfortable with space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The sunsets on the porch were just such a treat! We cooked lots of meals and had everything you could think of to prepare and serve everything. We did not bring our car on this trip but that was not an issue because we walked and took the bus or Ubered easily all over the island. East Chop is full of wildlife and we saw lots of bunnies, turkeys, deer and swan. Jetty Beach is just a quick walk and the kids enjoyed popping down for a swim whenever they felt like it. The AC in every room worked perfectly which was great because it was muggy. We loved the outdoor shower as well as the clawfoot tub which felt great after lots of walking around the island. We will have many happy memories of our trip this year!

Wonderful location, property, and host

My family and I stayed at the rental. The location couldn't have been better: it was quiet, centrally located, and memorable views. Several friends who have at points lived on the island year round complimented me several times on finding such a great property. The host was very responsive and understanding.

Great home. Great location. Great views

I have been vacationing on The Vineyard for over 55 years. This home is in a great location: quick ride or walk to both Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. New kitchen with granite counters is highly functional. The home easily accommodates a large family or mixed group. The kitchen, eating area (with two tables - enough for 10-12), and living/seating area are all one room. Just off that area are the wonderful great room with fire place, two bedrooms, and a bath. Two of three upstairs bedrooms are a nice size, the third is small, but has a twin bed with pull-out trundle. A second frig in basement is great for food and beverage overflow. Then, on top of all that there is the "L" shaped porch and 3-season room. Large yard right off the porch is great for games and lounging. High hedges on three sides give lots of privacy, too. I highly recommend this property even for an off-season getaway.

Perfect Island Getaway!

This was our first year at this home and found it a wonderful place. Plenty of room, easy access to everything. Walking distance to towns, shops and beaches. The porches were wonderful at night to watch great sunsets and the Ferries coming into Vineyard Haven. The neighborhood was quiet and very nice to walk around. The neighbors were very friendly. I look forward to renting this place again in 2012. There are two bedrooms downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs which made it very private for our traveling guests. The large living room with it's great fireplace made it wonderful to sit in to read a book, listen to music or just have quite conversations with friends and family. The family friendly area with TV made a great spot for those interested in watching TV and with a close of a door made it private from the main living room. Plenty of eating space to feed 8-10 people very comfortably. The porch has 6 wonderful white rocking chairs. Part of the porch is covered, part open and a great closed in part, which has a loveseat in it that opens to a twin bed. I spent a couple nights sleeping out there watching the stars through the windows. Our vacation there was tops! Thank You!

A truly wonderful home in the most perfect of locations

I have rented this home two years in a row now for a girls getaway. The home is spectacular with plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Relax in front of the beautiful fireplace, or rock away with a good book on the farmer's porch. The home couldn't be in a more perfect location, with views of the ferry coming into Vineyard Haven. Perfect location for morning or evening walks and very close to Oak Bluffs. Sarah and her family have been wonderful to rent from each year. We look forward to staying here for many years to come.

Our family has come to Martha's Vineyard since 1912. It was originally my parents home, and we took it over after the financial crisis in 2008. There are three siblings, Vinnie (scientist at Abbvie), Sarah (chemist at Georgetown), and Heather (VP for external affairs for Sisters of Charity Health system).
