We had a really lovely time hiking in the area and then coming back to the cabin to relax. Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies.
It was a great getaway.
We really enjoyed our stay. We saw a bear the first morning at the house and loved that we could bring our dogs. The backroads are beautiful and we loved the town of Burnsville and the artist community in Celo.
The area was wonderful! Quiet and peaceful. Great space for my kids to roast s’mores and experience the beauty of the mountains! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away for while.
Really a lovely place in the mountains. About an hour ride north of Asheville. Would definitely stay again. Great couples getaway.
Pros- private, beautiful view, hot tub, super roomy space, easy to find
Cons-10am check out, no spices at all in the kitchen so bring your own for cooking, internet is pretty bad
We had the best weekend! This cabin is absolutely perfect! The owner communicated with us and made everything wonderful! We loved the views and the location. Got some snow on the last night! We would highly recommend anyone staying here!
We wanted a nice getaway from heat and humidity and we found it. The cabin is located in the mountains where it was 15-20 degrees cooler than our home area. We found some great hikes, saw some wildlife and had a nice relaxing time. Recommended!
Thank you for giving us a new lease on life! I'm from the mountains of Maine and this was a taste of home.

About the host
Hosted by Joe Bafia
After owning other cabins in the town of Mars Hill, we decided to branch out and expand since we love the mountains so much. Burnsville is another mountain town that allows you to enjoy the beauty of Western North Carolina. We are hoping to share out love of the mountains with everyone else.
Why they chose this property
We wanted a place that was away from the hustle of the big cities. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area but ultimately we wanted to have a place to get away from the commotion. Asheville is approximately an hour away which makes day trips very feasible and feel like mini vacations while we are already on vacation.
What makes this property unique
You are able to get the mountain feel and the privacy but you are not completely removed for civilization. The home gives you the rustic feel but has modern features to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Plenty of room to spread out if desired but also wonderful communal areas inside and outside of the house to make memories with your loved ones.
