The detached vacation home is quietly located well away from tourist hordes, in the midst of a beautiful hiking and skiing region. It is very sunny. You can go hiking directly from the house. Enjoy the hike through the Val d'Herens, on the bisse, through small mountain villages and untouched nature. Dogs are wellcome.

Charming cabin with mountain view

Just got back from our stay in Papillon, a charming cabin perched in on a hillside in Val d’Herens. The cabin was clean, cozy and well equipped. The view was spectacular, beds very comfortable, kitchen equipped with everything needed to enjoy the holiday. One bedroom and bathroom are on the main floor so my elderly parents didn’t have to climb the stairs. Plenty of sleeping space upstairs, too - my kids loved the bunk beds, and used a third bedroom (with beds for 4 more and a box of toys!) to play. The house is conveniently located, a few min drive from Mase village (15 min walk), and not far from Sion and other sites in the area. Nice to spend a rainy day inside by the fireplace, with plenty of extra wood. A great vacation - we loved it!

Worked fine

The house was a bit small for a group of 7. I can't imagine 9 people. The WiFi password would not work and it seemed the LAN cable for connecting to the internet was missing. We had to use our mobile data the whole stay. Other than that, it was fine and did the trick to house our group for 2 nights.

Wir waren im Oktober mit 4 Kindern und 3 Erwachsenen plus unseren Familenhunden vor Ort. Vom ersten Kontakt an, lief alles reibungslos. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt, wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Umgebung ist einfach nur schön und es gibt zahlreiche Wanderwege. Die Nschbarn waren auch sehr nett und hundefreundlich. Wir würden das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage.

Unglaublich toller Ausblick, Schöne Lage, toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, keine direkten Nachbarn. WLAN funktioniert, aber das Internet selbst ist sehr schwach. Reicht gerade für Whatsapp , mehr geht nicht. LTE ist aber da. Das Bett ist eine Katastrophe, die Matratze ist völlig durchgelegen. Sitzgelegenheiten im Wohnzimmer sehr karg, selbst bei einer Belegung mit nur zwei Personen schon sehr ungemütlich. Von drei Gartenstühlen/Liegen war eine defekt, eine zweite stark angeschlagen. Ein wirklich tolles Haus insgesamt, aber leider mit Defiziten in für uns wichtigen Punken.

Wir lieben Papillon!!! Es hat alles, was man braucht, ist unerhörte gemütlich und heimelig, an einer Superlage, ganz ruhig, mit schöner Aussicht und am Anfang des magischen Val d’Herens mit vielen Wandermoeglichkeiten und in der Nähe von Sion.
