Private Forest Road to Upscale Lodge w/ Hot Tub, Sauna, Golf Cart, Bocci Court

You have found the perfect Michigan getaway nestled in the charming woods that line the coast of Lake Michigan. Our 3-story lodge is fully upgraded with upscale finishings and lavish amenities – all to be enjoyed in the privacy of our large secluded forest property. Our lodge can accommodate 13 guests in the 4 over-sized bedrooms. Additional beds are available upon request.

The open concept on the main level features a large kitchen that opens up to the family room, making it perfect for large gatherings. The main level has 3 doors to access the full length balcony overlooking the front yard. Adjacent to the kitchen you'll find a large screened porch with a teak dining table, wet bar, Weber grill and our favorite, the oversized porch swing. The lower level has a large sectional, 60" smart TV, fireplace, mini bar, wine fridge, sauna, bedroom area, full bathroom, laundry, and two sliding doors that open up to the front ground level. The upper level has two bedrooms and a full bathroom with permanent bedding for eight, plus two rollout cots in the closet.

The backyard features a brand new 7-person hot tub (delivered October 2021) with a wrap-around deck, outdoor shower, designated bon fire area and plenty of open forest to explore. The front of our lodge opens up to a 50' long ground-level patio (with two balcony doors to the lower level) overlooking the forest floor landscape and a full size bocci ball court. We invite you to take a seat on the front porch swing and take in the surrounding nature in complete solitude.

The property has a long gravel driveway leading up to a 3-car garage. The driveway can accommodate 6-8 cars. In the garage you'll find all sorts of fun, including the golf cart, bocci balls, volleyball set, tennis rackets, beach chairs, golf clubs, coolers, etc.

It's time for you to log that family time around a camp fire, soak in the hot tub, hop on the golf cart and head to the beach or treat yourself at one of area's many wineries and restaurants. From our lodge you're just 5 minutes by bike or golf cart to the private beach or a 9 minute drive to New Buffalo's public beach.

Our recent stay was fabulous! We arrived at night to find the comforts of home. And a detailed manual made available by the host to guide you through your stay. The exterior of the home is so gorgeous. The back porch is dreamy to relax on with the daybed. Along with the beautifully decorated and designed home interior. The rooms were lovely, comfortable, and spacious. The linens were an amazing added perk! Along with the extremely comfortable beds. No one wanted to wake up in the morning because they were so comfy! lol! The bathrooms were all gorgeous, clean, and spa inspired. The sitting area was perfect and comfortable. Perfect to have the kids close while cooking. And the family room was great for the wind down of our adventurous days.We really enjoyed the golf cart, fire pit area, and hot tub. The property literally came with everything. It was a sanctuary in the woods.

4th of July Getaway

Amazing stay for our extended family getaway, 6 adults and 5 kiddos, plenty of space for everyone. We loved the hot tub, firepit and great location. Easy access to private beach area and a quick drive (5mins) to New Buffalo downtown. the kids especially loved going for rides in the golf cart! Owners were responsive and the home was well maintained and stocked with everything you could need. We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous woodsy setting! So many nice amenities, and plenty of room for 9 of us to be able to spread out when we wanted to! The golf cart was fun and a great touch! Girls Getaway

We had an absolute blast staying at this house! It had everything we needed and was perfect for our girl's trip. It was very well-updated and decorated. It was super clean and had plenty of space for 9 of us women. We enjoyed the hot tub and how quick the drive was to the beach. It was close enough to the wineries and restaurants we wanted to visit. Such a beautiful home

Such a beautiful home and forest surroundings! Very professionally outfitted to give it that hotel feeling. The beds and pillows definitely deserve a shoutout. What else… My wife was in heaven with the sauna and steam room. The screened porch area is stunning and perfect for our breakfasts and dinners. The kids found plenty of games and activities to keep busy. Hot shower outside was a super nice touch after a day at the beach. We appreciated having all the beach equipment we needed. The fire pit was a big hit. The outdoor railings needed some attention but we probably wouldn’t have noticed if the property manager didn’t point out some ongoing exterior work. All in all we would love to come back next year! Thanks Mark

This is a brilliant property. Allows for a full family to share a house but still have the necessary privacy. All amenities worked as promised - and candidly, they more often exceeded expectations. For example, the outdoor screened in porch is the true gathering place for the house -and then it leads to a great hot tub and quaint firepit. Very well done. One thing to note - the couch downstairs is so comfortable it will have you napping before your TV show starts...unbelievable. Another thing that is very nice - on the main floor there is no TV in the living room. This was perfect as you had the chance to sit together and talk - without distractions. Don't get me wrong there are more than enough TVs if that is your vibe - but when you want to spend time on your family it is nice to have no distractions. The beach is great, the neighborhood friendly - in short this is a property to rent. Do not miss booking this property if it happens to be available. It is a true value and a gem for a family holiday.

This property is really wonderful and I recommend it without reservation! Three floors, decorated nicely and comfortably, easy kitchen to cook in, lovely screened in porch, amazing setting "nestled in the woods". So fun to walk the neighborhood, it is just magical. Things we did that customized our stay a bit: We had two dogs and also a 1 year old grandson. We typically travel with those folding "fences" for dogs when we have the pups, just in case we need to contain them. It did double duty, blocking the stairs down to the bottom floor, (the main floor is the second floor), keeping the dogs from wondering too much AND the grandson from tumbling down the stairs - perfect solution! Secondly, we brought a little space heater and used it on the screened in porch in the evenings when it was a little cool. (There were 8 of us and it would have been pretty cramped at the inside dining room table since we had a high chair.) Thirdly, we brought a high chair for the one year old. The hot tub was a blast, as was the golf cart. We spent some magical time down at the beach, so easily accessed with the golf cart! (And a car, for that matter, but the kids LOVED the cart.) Our crew was a little young for bocce ball but they did love exploring the forest. :) The local grocery store was quite nice, they even were able to get in a specialty item for me. We went to a farm and picked apples, went to a model train store/museum and went to the beach a few times. AWESOME TRIP!!

Highly recommend. Property is great. Beautiful in the fall and perfect for outdoor fires, hot tub, and dinners on the porch. Enjoyed cruising around the neighborhood in the golf cart. We had such a lovely week staying at this home, it definitely lived up to the expectations we had when we booked it. The home was very clean and laid out well for multi-generational vacationers. The house is in a cute neighborhood, but it seemed very secluded. We loved the firepit and indoor fireplaces and enjoyed the offerings of New Buffalo (winery and restaurants) and Saugatuck (dune rides). Mark was a super responsive host, and I would definitely book this location again.

My family had a wonderful time staying at Mark's property. Everything is maintained to perfection. You are close to a beautiful private beach. We loved driving up and down Lakeshore Drive on the provided golf cart to watch the sunset. The firepit was great for hanging out and roasting marshmallows for smores. We took advantage of horseback riding just a few minutes away. We had one rainy day but still enjoyed hanging out in the spacious screened in porch. We will definitely be back. You won't regret staying here.

What we have always loved most about New Buffalo is the feeling of escaping from the crammed and industrial norms of city/suburban life. While other areas of New Buffalo have sadly become deforested and overcrowded, our private association neighborhood has managed to preserve that solitude. You'll know exactly what we're talking about as soon as you turn onto the private road.
