This is a clean, comfortable condo, well-suited for two people. Nicely furnished, updated kitchen appliances, very comfortable bed. Excellent lanai overlooking the shoreline and ocean, and the assigned parking spot is a real benefit. Located on the southern edge of Kona, it is an easy walk into town. We recommend this property.
This property is absolutely amazing! Our lanai was right over the ocean where we got to watch a sea turtle, numerous fish, and beautiful sunsets. Very close to town and within walking distance to restraunts and shopping.
Location was amazing. Close to dining and shopping. We did our own excursions and knew we had a great place to come back to unwind and watch the sunset and the whales.

Love the location
This was our third time we stayed at Hale kona Kai it was another good stay the biggest concern was the AC problem the portable units worked but we're noisy and made the room seem musty

A great spot just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, and right on the water! Can't beat the view, and it's an easy stroll into town. Also a cute little beach about 3 mins down the road. The apartment is simple, but has everything you need for a comfy stay, and the view from the lanai doesn't get a lot better!
Only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattress, you have a million dollar condo with a few hundred dollar mattress.

Awesome location and amenities.
We've stayed at Hale Kona Kai many times before but 301 is by far the best. The bed and linens were excellent and the unit has been remodeled with a modern design. We also liked and used the beach chairs and umbrellas. We will be back.
This condo and location were perfect! First time on the Bug Iskand and this was a great home base

Fabulous home away from home
If you love sunsets out on the lanai and falling asleep to the sound of crashing surf then this is a great place to stay! Clean, comfortable and with a well supplied kitchen in case like us, you would rather cook than eat out. The highlight of the apartment is the lanai which is where we spent most of our time enjoying the ocean views and the amazing Kailua-Kona sunsets. We had a great vacation here and will be back.
We loved our unit at Hale Kona Kai. Views were amazing. Would recommend replacing the chairs on the lanai as they are rusting out. Shelves in the refrigerator door were broken. Also would recommend putting a grab bar in the shower.

Awesome location
We've stayed in this unit several times and have never been disappointed. It is one of the few corner units, which give you better views and a bigger lanai. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in the Kailua Village. We will be back.
The condo, the property manager and the bed were great. The view was breathtaking and the sound of the surf was amazing. Had some issues but they were taken care of. It had an elevator which was a must but the pool was down due to being updated so that was disappointing. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed and highly recommend staying at Hale Kai 301. The unit is stocked with everything we needed for our trip.The lanai was perfect for eating, watching water activities and watching the sunsets. Downtown Kona, shops and restaurants are a short walk away. KonaBeachPropertiies was great to book with. They provided excellent service. Can't wait to return!
In the midst of it all. Great view. We could actually see fishes and eels in the tide pool from our balcony. Grounds were very well kept. The building management were friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend

Great Stay
Unit 301 is excellent. Very private with a side window that allows a great breeze and also very private as it is at the very end of the building. Love this complex and it is one of the best places to stay in Kona. It is a very short walk to restaurants and you can see turtles from your balcony. The ocean is so close that you feel like you are in a cruise ship when looking out the unit. We stay here every year.

Great location, clean and great views.
Needs serious upgrades, way outdated. Tile work on floors and shower are terrible. Would I stay here again? Only when it gets upgraded. It's nice but could be much better.

An OK stay
When we arrived, there had been a leak in the ceiling from a clogged AC unit that required a repair along with an humidifier that ran for a few days. The unit smelled very musty and the manager did the best they could. It was an unfortunate situation so no blame on them. The best thing was the view and corner unit. Outstanding! It was very clean with good appliances and a well appointed kitchen. Great shower pressure! Great location! It's is just a tad dated but again, very clean. Onsite parking included. I would stay here again.

Absolute Waterfront
The Accommodation was great, comfortable and we were able to check in slightly earlier as we had flown in earlier, the only setback was no garbage bag liners for the bin in the kitchen, but that's minor, the only weird thing is the parking allocations, they can be opposite ends of the building from the accommodation like ours was, ours was being used by tradesmen, so was able to use another space, but it was a little puzzling. The Lagoon next to to accommodation was great for spotting fish, and we did see a lone turtle in there too, plenty of the yellow fish you can see from the balcony as well as turtles on our second to last day. Good Food options Close and shopping. Will come back again in the future
