We really loved this home. Yes the back yard has stuff in it but it did not distract from the house as a whole. Very comfortable space, great kitchen, cute town area not far.
Great place to stay while shopping for neighborhood lots
We enjoyed staying in this warm and cozy home. It had everything we needed as we got to know Crestone and looked at lots in the Baca Grande area. Great views from the property’s decks. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed three days in Baca Grande. The house is hidden in the trees and feels remote. The view for the valley in sunset is fantastic. There are a lot of hiking trails around. The house is the same as listed. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. I would certainly stay here again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
I think the property needs a little bit of attention, the best part of the stay was the people that manager or the people that don’t have responded quickly to my unhappiness in future they need to have instructions on how to run things i.e. the television you need to take better care or watch who’s cleaning because it was not very clean and somebody had to come back and re-clean
The location and communication with the host were good. However, we had to leave the property early because both bedroom door locks were broken, along with a patio door that led to the outside.
Lovely, clean house with everything needed, especially quiet serenity and views (except grill was non-functional) Host responsive. Site entrance was rough, making it treacherous for two seniors who tracked in mud. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
The house was clean and comfortable. While the check-in process was easy, it was disconcerting that it was left unsecured before our stay where anyone could just walk-in. The pictures of the house look nice online, but it doesn’t show a lack of curtains or blinds on some of the windows and doors-including the bathroom window which concerns privacy. It also doesn’t show that the outside property is littered with scraps of wood and rubbish, a junk car, and other unsafe clutter. I gave the accuracy of listing a lower rating for this reason-it really takes away from the overall ambience and experience, plus is a safety concern when walking the property.

When we arrived in the evening on our first night, the property was dirty with the prior guest’s dirty towel and linens. We were able to contact the property manager immediately and have the cleaning person come that evening. It was a less than ideal way to start our trip. Once we settled, the house was ok. The cleaning person did a good job on short notice. We had no idea just how isolated the town of Crestone was until we arrived. We planned to hike in the Great Sand Dunes and it’s deceptive on a map. The only way to get to the park entrance is to drive an hour around the park and through the plane. The town itself was small with the main grocery store not open on sundays. Our entire experience was not what we were expecting.
