Tucked away on a peaceful mountainside near Luray, this cozy two-bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for your Shenandoah Valley getaway. Step outside to relax on the porch, take in the serene mountain views, or gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows under the stars. With the comforts of home and nature right at your doorstep, this cabin offers the ideal setting for your next Shenandoah Valley adventure.

Dog friendly so your furry travel companion (2 max) are welcome to join the adventure ($60 flat pet fee per stay - no nightly charges).

After a day of exploring, unwind by the cozy electric fireplace or settle in for a movie night on the smart TV. Stay connected with free WIFI, or enjoy some friendly competition with games for the whole group. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, cookware, and dining essentials.

Things to Note

The charming town of Luray and the famous Luray Caverns are 20 mins away.

Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park (off Hwy 211) is a scenic 25–30 minute drive from the cabin.

Walking distance to Shenandoah River Outfitters for river adventures.

Groceries & Essentials: We recommend stopping for groceries before arriving, as the nearest stores are about 12 miles away.

Camp fire wood available for purchase ($10 per bundle).

No EV charging is available on-site, and use of indoor or outdoor electrical outlets is not permitted. If you need to charge your vehicle, convenient charging stations can be found in the nearby town of Luray.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Dishes cleaned and put away / Place all used towels (bath and kitchen) on bathroom floor (please do not put in bathtub) / Leave slept in beds unmade (do not remove sheets, blankets or bedspread)
If used, turn off baseboard heat, a/c window units / Close doors and windows, but leave any screen door unlocked / Place kitchen trash, to include recyclables, in outside trash can
Leave guest key inside / Lock the front door / Send a text message or message on booking app once you’ve checked out
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please DO NOT use any product that contains bleach, it interacts with the well water in our area and will cause bleach stains on linens

From the beginning our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin was small but cozy with good sized room spaces. The electric fireplace was fantastic and made the living room feel super welcoming. We mainly cooked at the cabin for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it was well stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. The owners kept in contact with us throughout our stay and made check in and check incredibly easy. The town of Luray was welcoming and easy to find things to do. We had dinner at a fantastic little Mexican restaurant and checked out the caverns on one of our adventures out. All in all the stay was fantastic and now that we know how close the river is, we’re looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer. The only thing I can say to people visiting while there are still snow and ice on the ground — if you’re a hiker make sure you bring gear that is safe for those conditions. We are enthusiast hikers but unfortunately didn’t have gear to do the hikes we wanted safely. We will definitely be back to do those also!

We enjoy time with family, love being grandparents and although we enjoy traveling, living in Luray and near the beautiful Shenandoah River makes every day feel like a vacation! We love hosting and sharing with others all that this area offers!
