Beautiful Lake Home in the winter with lake skating and snowshoeing right outside your door! Cozy cottage vibe for your winter getaway. The fireplace created a warm atmosphere for celebrating our Christmas in the northwoods!
We had a great week. The lake is quiet with mostly pontoon traffic. We enjoyed the swimming, the lake was extremely clear and the kids could go out quite a ways but it wasn’t so shallow they couldn’t play around. Kayaking and paddle boarding was great because of the low boat traffic. We will be staying again!
This is a lovely secluded cabin with tons of private and communal space and a gorgeous deck and view of Clear Lake. The cabin kitchen is very well-stocked, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are large and nice and the master - the view off the balcony! Lovely. The first of our 3 days, we saw a bald eagle flying out of a tree near the lake, and it was stunning. So close! The owner is very communicative and gave helpful directions to the cabin and instructions on how to access it. No problems! We fished off the pier with no success, but there is a rowboat and 2 kayaks you can use. The drive from the cabin to/from downtown Minocqua was 18 minutes. Would absolutely stay again!
This property was excellent! It was tucked away from other properties off a very winding and secluded backroad. The view upon entering the cabin was breathtaking, as were the morning sunrises. The cabin was clean, cozy, and rustic yet updated in all the right places. We will be saving this property for future visits. Thank you for a wonderful fall getaway.
The railings on the stairs and a couple stairs were loose. A safety issue! The air conditioning was not through out the house. The room air conditioners had very clogged up filters. Only 2 of 5 bedrooms were air conditioned. We had hot weather in the 90’s. That made for some uncomfortable sleeping. The flannel sheets on the beds were not good. Too hot! The deck in the lake was nice but could use a ladder to get in and out of the water. Some of us aren’t so young anymore. We had some ants once but didn’t see them again. Not sure where they came from. My husband broke his foot when he fell in a hole/ uneven ground next to the house. That put a damper on our trip. The sleeper sofa was filthy behind the cushions. There were no sheets for the sleeper sofa. The kitchen needed more frying pans. The big one was ugly. Our family trip was overall good/great despite the above. The house was clean. We had enough towels. We had a lot of fun. The zoo was excellent! The lake was perfect! Nice and clear and not cold! The swim mat was a big hit with the grandkids. The fishing was good! Everyone caught a lot of fish. The cabin was pretty with great views! We saw eagles every day and the loons were so cool!
