Peacefull
Top to bottom this was a excellent place to stay.Clean, comfortable, amenities and location all where great!
This was our second visit to Northern Delight. Beautiful quiet location with plenty of chopped wood for fires by the lake, very roomy house with comfortable beds. We love the vintage decor! It just feels like our childhood home.We didn’t bring the dogs this trip but it’s perfect for them. Don’t look any further-this is the place!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the fun amenities on the property. Plenty of things to do both inside and outside!

Perfect North Woods Getaway
What a perfect Thanksgiving getaway in the middle of the forest. Very peaceful. The owners are very responsive and the house had everything you could ever need.
We loved it. House is stylish and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped for making meals. plenty of space for sleeping a big group. outdoor area is excellent. fire pit was the center of things each evening. during the day we spent most of the time on the dock and on the water. My 15yo put it this way: This place is the best. It has everything. I thought I might get bored here but I’d never get bored here.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! Everything was as described in the listing, if not better. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. The view out to the small lake was perfect, and we enjoyed being able to use the paddle boat and kayaks. Super close to town but felt quiet and remote. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
We loved staying here with our group. It is such a short drive into Minocqua downtown. The lake is so nice to swim & watch the sunrise on the dock. The house is fully equipped with everything we needed! We are already talking about renting this home again next summer!
We had the best time staying at Northern Delight! Our three boys didn’t want to leave! We had so much privacy and everything we could have wanted to do was provided for us! It was a quick drive away from town and we stayed up at the fire. When the weather was cooler we played pool and listened to the many selections of vinyls :)
House was in great shape! Plenty of room for my husband and I and our three kids. We went in the winter and since the property is right on a small lake, we got to ice fish with easy access to the house. Will definitely book again! Thank you!
We had a great trip and the place was perfect. We enjoyed the nature of the place and just relaxing. The games and access to the lake were perfect. Everyone had a blast catching some fish and overall just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Was very relaxing and everything we had hoped for a family getaway!! Thanks
The house was lovely and the decor was really beautifully curated. We really enjoyed the recreational room downstairs and the sauna. It was cold the weekend we were up, but we still got to enjoy the nice outside fire pit surrounded by string lights. Would highly recommend this home for your next stay in Minocqua!
Our family from Illinois and Iowa truly enjoyed our stay in Arbor Vitae. The house was so accommodating and had everything we needed. We took advantage of all the water sports (kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, paddle boat, and water mats). We also had fun tournaments with the Baggo game. The fire pit was so and relaxing each evening. We loved the location as it was so close to everything we wanted to do.
Can’t say enough good things about our stay! Chris was wonderful with communication, regardless of how small the issue.
The property itself is wonderful. The nonmotorized lake is wonderful for canoeing and kayaking. Great fishing just off the pier, and lots of lakes within a short drive. The house is extremely comfortable, and we loved the Northwoods cabin vibe.
Highly recommended!
We absolutely loved staying at the northern delight. We come up north a couple times a year and have been doing it for many years and this is by far one of the best places that we have stayed at. The house had every amenity that you could think of, the house was so spacious, beautiful and inviting! The beds were so comfortable! We loved all the outdoor/lake equipment that we were able to use. Definitely looking forward to our next trip and hoping this cabin is available when we come up north again! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we had such a great time!
We loved staying here - the deco was amazing in the property and the house had so many wonderful things to do! The bar, pool table and hangout downstairs was fantastic. The kitchen was fully stocked. The garage was full of fun - paddleboard, cornhole, floating pads with kayaks and paddle boat outside and a sauna inside to warm up. All the rooms were comfy and a bonus was outside and indoor towels were provided. We would love to visit again the place was great & excellent communication with the owner. Thanks for hosting us!
We had a wonderful vacation with family! Tons of stuff to do inside and out! We enjoyed fishing, swimming, kayaks and other water toys, campfires as well as pool, games and coloring inside. Location was so convenient, being close to so many things, but house felt very private and we pretty much had the lake to ourselves! The house was clean, fully stocked and loved the decor. It was pretty humid the first couple days, so air conditioning would have been ideal, but it was still a fantastic time!:)
Overall it was a nice place, a variety of the amenities didn’t work including the sauna which was disappointing. The floor in the rec room was separating and bubbling up making it impossible to use the downstairs bathroom or Rec room as we didn’t want to damage the floor. The place was clean and cutely decorated however, I would have choose a different place based on the troubled things.

Lindsey, the homeowner would like to pass along the following message:
"Thank you for your review and we’re sorry that you had to deal with those issues. The sauna has since been repaired by a licensed electrician and is fully operational. The floating LVT flooring was heaving in a few spots due to all of the unusual humidity we had in the north woods this summer. We have a flooring expert scheduled to repair the troubled spots on October 25th. We continue to make improvements to our home as we only took ownership of the property back in June of this year. Our goal is to make it the best experience possible for our guests and to provide a clean, comfortable, and fun northern retreat for years to come. We’re glad that you found the house to be clean and nicely decorated and we hope you'll give us another chance in the future. Sincerely, The owners of 'Northern Delight'" Best, the Evolve Team
I rented this space for my 49th Birthday. For myself, husband, and adult stepdaughter. It was a great location and love having a lot of space. I do wish a few things. would have been noted. The gas fire place outside as shown is not used. That would have been nice to know. It was a bit difficult to start a wood fire after it had been pouring rain the day we got up there I was able to, by moving all the wet wood on top and splitting some. I also bought fire starter cubes. That there were really no window coverings through the house, except for a few in the bedrooms and even the master has 2 windows that are not covered at all. This makes sleeping in, very difficult. 6:30 am light is coming in. I understand having a view but I felt like a fish in a bowl. The owner is very good with communication and check in was a breeze. The house has everything you could need and is really cool. We really did not use anything expect coffee pot and a few dishes for drinking out of. Note there is only 1 TV in this whole place and with the weather being how it was at night we were sort of stuck in the house. Also we fall asleep to TV. There are a lot of other things yes to do in the house. My family is not huge on games. Only me. I would go back. Perhaps by myself or with friends.
The property was nice and relaxing. Had lots of fun but some Amenities that were listed could've been in better shape. Property shows age and could use som TLC
Our family of 9 had a fantastic stay at Northern Delight! The 70s decor made us all smile from the moment we walked in. Paddle boards, kayaks, fire pits, sauna, game room with bar, pool table and so much more to kept us all busy our entire stay. Loved this place on a peaceful wooded lake. An absolutely perfect family getaway!
Great location and scenery. Well-maintained interior and plenty of entertainment on-site prompted by frigid temperatures. Ample space for 5 guests. Could easily accommodate 10-12 guests that included couples.
