Formia (in ancient times Formiae) is an Italian port and seaside resort with mild climate all year round. The thermal wind is ideal for surfing, kitesurfing, sailing. The city is in the province of Latina region Lazio with 40 000 inhabitants. It is located 110 km south of Rome, 90km from Naples.
Shops are a 5-minute walk away for daily shopping. In 5 minutes by car you can reach a shopping center with over 30 shops. The center of Formia with port and train station connections Roma Napoli, can also be visited by local bus (bus stop 4 min from the house) Every Thursday from 8. 00-13. 00 takes place the big weekly market. In 1h you can reach Roma, Napoli, Pompeii, Pontine Islands, as well as La Reggia di Caserta.
