The building is over 100 years old. It's a historic and protected building of special interest with traditional architecture. While the flat has been modernized, we consciously conserved it's classic charm. As a result, we created a space where modern luxury meets classic chic.

The 245 m2 (2,630 sqft) apartment has 3 double bedrooms. There's two full bathrooms with spacious showers, one has a jacuzzi / hot tub with jets, both have a bidet. The large and bright kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils, so if you're a keen chef it has all you need.

We know that a little luxury goes a long way, so each double bedroom has a spacious Queen bed (1.55m x 2.0m) with a comfortable mattress, featuring contemporary interior design.

The primary bedroom has electric blinds to darken the room and its own dressing room with spacious wardrobes. The other two bedrooms have wooden shutters and their own large modern wardrobes.

There are floor-to-ceiling windows facing Ortega y Gasset, Serrano and Claudio Coello streets, for some lovely city views.

The majority of the flat is north facing. However, the kitchen and bathrooms have windows facing south, east and west, which let daylight into the flat throughout the day.

There's air conditioning in four zones and fans. There's also a fast broadband connection with no dead zones and an underground parking space across the road.

If you're a hobby chef and take cooking seriously, you'll love the kitchen. For keen cooks, there's a fully equipped kitchen with a brand new oven, steam oven, a spacious Fridge/Freezer, chefs knives, spices, cast iron pans, non-stick pans, pots, blender, electric whisk, salad tossing bowl, rolling pin, juice squeezer, baking dishes and sheets, etc.

Neighbourhood

At Ortega y Gasset 8, you'll be in Madrid's most exclusive, safe and vibrant neighbourhood. While the streets are busy in the daytime, from 20:30 after the shops close, there's peace and quiet outside.

Because of its ideal location, you step right out onto the bustling shopping streets of Madrid. Most parts of the city are only a 5-15 min taxi ride away.

The whole area has some of the best shopping, bars, tapas and restaurants Madrid has to offer. There's plenty of lovely terraces for lunch and dinner.

Ortega y Gasset, Claudio Coello, Serrano and Lagasca streets are the home of luxury fashion stores and high-end boutiques in Madrid. On your doorstep there's Dior, Tiffany's, Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Gucci, Cartier, LV, Hermès, Omega and more. While the whole area can get busy, it's never as crowded as Gran Vía or around Callao.

The El Corte Ingles Shopping mall is just 1 minute around the block; it has a supermarket in the lower ground. There's also the ABC Serrano at a 5min walk, which has a fully stocked Mercadona supermarket, a gym and much more.

It's just a 5min walk down to Calle Goya for more shopping and to Plaza Colon for some sightseeing.

A 10min walk will get you to Parque Retiro, Madrid's famous central park; perfect for a run, stroll, or bike ride.

Getting Around

As the apartment is in Barrio Salamanca, it's well connected to Barajas airport. A taxi takes just 20-30min door to door, depending on traffic and terminal. Atocha, Madrid's main train station, is a mere 5-10min taxi ride, depending on traffic.

The entrance to the underground parking garage is on the corner of C/ Jose Ortega y Gasset and C/ Velazquez. The pedestrian entrance to the garage is literally across the street, a 10 second walk.

There are 4 metro stations within 5-10min walking distance from the flat: Serrano, Velazquez, Nunez de Balboa and Ruben Dario.

At a 10-15min walk there's another 5: Alonso Martinez, Retiro, Diego de Leon, Colon and Principe de Vergara. They have a variety of metro lines that will get you around town.

Just south of Plaza Colon (12-15min walk) you can access the local train station, Recoletos for further connections.

There's 2 bus stops nearby, 1-2 min walk. There's a taxi stand right by the shopping mall across the street on Serrano.
