house had a smoky odor upon arrival. We opened flue and doors to air out. Hot tub is new and great. No ice available. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Game room is not maintained. Video room is cool but electronics didn't work properly. On the bus route! Definitely worth considering.

Lots of broken thingsThe sink faucet in the kitchen barely usable—handle kept falling offSome of the cookie sheets were filthyA tennis ball to replace a pool ball? Could not play poolBowling game broken There were supposed to be board games —there wasn’tThe garage was filled with trash there was no mention of what to do with the trash……Had to call the sales office of Vacasa yo get a person in the phone to tell us what to do with the trashThe driveway was a sheet of ice and there was supposed to be sand/salt supplied but there was noneThe master bedrrom had bugs in itAll the beds were super uncomfortable
The house was beautiful, but there is no Mountain View, no fireplace that you can use with real wood (only Duraflame) and the property needs a deep cleaning and a bit of extra attention to the cleaning when guests turnover as we found some food/drink items around. But, again, the house was beautiful and fit 6 of us really well.

Fantastic
Home was stunning, perfect in every way.
Super comfortable
Beautiful Maine Ski Lodge 3 Minutes from Sugarloaf Base. Beautiful home with comfy beds, couch and furniture. Fun game room for the kids. Great value!! Similar Rental in VT would cost double. Only downside is the bathrooms. Contractor Grade bathrooms in an otherwise Luxury Home!

Great ski home near Sugsrloaf
We had a great stay — the house was very comfortable and the shuttle to the mountain was so convenient. Beds were very comfortable and pots, pans, towels, etc. well stocked. The hot tub was great and kids enjoyed the game room and movie room downstairs. Only thing that would have made it better is if we could have users wood in the fireplace/if there was a wood stove.

Great Cabin for Girl’s Getaway
My friends and I had a great time at Snow Lion! We stayed 4 days/3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Minor complaint related to the door codes…none of the ones provided worked. Luckily we were able to get in bc another side door had been left unlocked and we stayed at the cabin the whole time so never had to worry about relocking with the new codes given. Vacasa customer service was great and responsive and provided two new codes but they still did not work.

Great home & location (few technical issues)
To start with the great things: This home is absolutely beautiful & the location is great– close to the mountain & on shuttle route. It was the perfect place for our winter family gathering. The home was clean and the hot tub was great. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is because of a few technical issues, mainly regarding the doors + alarm system. The door pin they gave us didn't work, so I had to walk through the snow to get the backup key. Once inside the house, the alarm system chimed a triple beep about once a minute for the majority of our stay (definitely was not pleasant, especially in the middle of the night). In addition, one of the exterior doors wouldn't latch shut and the wind kept blowing it open (not ideal for a winter stay). When we tried to have someone take a look at it, they said it couldn't be fixed right away so we had to keep a chair in front of the door to keep it shut. In the grand scheme of things, no one of these issues was a huge deal, but together they detracted from the experience of our stay. As previously mentioned, still a beautiful house and if these issues could be resolved, would recommend staying there.

Deborah, it was our pleasure hosting you and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for bringing some concerns to our attention. Maintenance is scheduled to replace the smart lock. There is a note on the alarm box to the left of the front door as you come in to type a code to arm the system, which makes the chirping go away. The alarm system has to remain on for the hardwired smoke detectors to function. We will work with the owner to change our setup so that the safety devices remain functional without the chirping. The door lock works with a counter-intuitive operation, the bar that slides and latches doesn't actuate unless you turn the handle up. We will be sure to address this concern with our maintenance team. We hope you'll stay with us for a 5-star experience next time!

False Advertisement
Our biggest problem with this property is that it was falsely advertised. The VRBO listing indicated that it had AC but it did not... not even a window unit, fan, or anything. We booked this property for July 4th weekend with temperatures in the 80-90 range. We were traveling with small children and older grandparents who needed AC for health reasons, so this was a disaster. Attempting to reach and communicate with Vacasa took an entire day of our vacation (waiting on hold and being bounced from person to person, most of whom had no answers). 2 days into our trip we were finally informed that the location does not have AC, the listing was wrong, there were no other locations available, and we would only be reimbursed $25/day for this inconvenience and false advertisement. The property manager and maintenance folks were kind enough to bring fans to us during our stay, but Vacasa and VRBO were absolutely despicable in how they handled this situation. We actually checked out a day early (which also was not compensated for) due to inability to tolerate daytime temps in the home. Buyer beware. After investigation we found that this property has been rented for years, yet there were no reviews available on VRBO.
In terms of the actual property there are pros and cons:
Pros: location, beauty, cleanliness, plenty of towels and linens, amazing hot tub, very kind and responsive property managers.
Cons: no AC, no real yard for kids to play in (grass would be nice), very unstable wifi (sound/video on TVs was constantly interrupted; this made watching movies in theater room impossible), only 1 small roll of paper towels provided, ice maker did not function, real wood not allowed in fireplace, pots/pans were dirty, no TVs in bedrooms or living room, ambient heating in lower level took 12 hours to warm up (owners should turn on lower level heat 12 hrs prior to check-in. It was literally freezing for the first day),

Thank you for visiting and sharing your review, Bridget. We apologize for any concerns during your stay. We appreciate that you reached out so that we could quickly work together to find a resolution and agreed on compensation amount. During your visit, the local internet companies were working on making improvements which may have caused downtime. We are sorry for any inconvenience when trying to watch shows or movies. The WIFI is now working well. We have also inventoried all kitchenware. The ice maker is working well. We hope to have the opportunity to impress you in the future.
This is a beautiful house with large timbers built into the construction of it for the wood and architecture enthusiasts. Stayed during the fall for a wedding at the Sugarloaf Inn, only 1 mile away. The 5 bedrooms fit our group of 10 perfectly. The game room, hot tub, and theater kept us all entertained. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. Large living room and kitchen/dining areas. Plenty of towels supplied in all areas. Would highly recommend.
