Thank you for your response. We appreciate that. I think you misunderstood the process. We turn lights on for our guests for their arrival so they don´t step into a dark house when they arrive. There is no second chance for the first impression. We want to create an inviting atmosphere for our guests. All our lights are led. We switched them on right before your arrival. That costs a few cents and is in the guests interest. So far we got nothing but complements for it. The pool was warm because the guest before you heated it up. We take the electric meter picture at check in and check out. So you were not charged for that. He was. You got a warm pool for free ! By taking picture of the electric meter at check in and check out we can determine exactly the consumption of each guest. So you have never been charged for anything you didn´t consume.

Dear Danny, we usually appreciate every feedback even if it´s not positive for us. We try to improve our business with each customer and reviews help us to reach that goal. So thank you for taking the time and writing the review. Let me clarify the major items you complained about so future potential guests have both sides of the story to judge. We never heard a complaint about any of the items while you were here. If there was a problem with the doors it would be easy for us and also important for us to fix it. Surprisingly there was no problem found aftter your check out. Also the guest right after your departure (same day turnover) left a 5* review and complained about nothing. Let me make one thing pretty clear. Our property manager never walks into a house while guests are there unless there is an emergency. And even in an emergency they ring the bell or knock on the door. How reasonable is that. Why should they do that ? We had the struggle with the additional guests you had at check in (you booked the place for less people than actually stayed). I can only assume that this review is motivated by this incident which would be unfortunate. But that´s okay. People can make their mind by reading all the other 5* reviews.

We try to improve our business with each customer and your review helps us to reach that goal. Please let me clarify for justification some of your issues. Potential new guests should understand my lack of willingness to compensate you leaded into this revenge review. Becky checked in and stayed 3 days before the A/C stopped working. We sent our own maintennace tech out right away. He found the theromostat set on 62°. The unit was frozen. He never stated that he was there last week for the same issue. The A/C company was called and showed up 2 hours later. They confirmed the unit was frozen because it was constantly running for 24h trying to reach 62° when it was outside 95°. We have to commit that this is not a new unit but according to the A/C company a unit shouldn´t be hit that hard. However we immediately organized 2 mobile A/C units to cool it down and we offered to cancel the reservation at this point so the guest can look for an alternative. That´s where the struggle began. Besides the A/C technicians report to have the unit back up and running within 24h the customer threat us with bad reviews on social media and VRBO/Home Away if we don´t refund 100% of her rental price (but she wanted to stay until the end notwithstanding the issue). We are very sensitive when it comes to this and refused the disproportionate requirement and made clear we are willing to compensate but not to accept these disproportionate requirements. 5 minutes later she posted an untrue story on Facebook. We fortunately had proof she is lying and the wind changed for her online so she deleted the post. Now she´s trying the same here. Dear future guest. Please review the 18 reviews we got so far. All 5* reviews. The only "no 5* review is this one. I hope that will help you to classify this review.
