Your Culinary Wishes have come true with our well equipped kitchen. We’ve gone beyond the status quo rental kitchen and provided utensils you'd love to have at home. This well-appointed kitchen includes large refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, 2 coffee makers, ice maker, toaster, blender and of course a disposal! If you prefer to grill, you will enjoy a stainless gas grill just steps from the kitchen.

A week before your arrival we will email you a detailed description of our kitchen tools and supplies. This may be very helpful as you plan your stay.

Comfortable over-sized Leather Sectional Sofa and Rock 7 Swivel Chair are perfect for conversation, reading or viewing the 65” LCD TV with cable. With large Stone Fireplace and 2 Large French Doors give access to front Stone Patio with Gas Fire Pit. windows and two large doors offer generous natural light and the doors open to a patio for conversation and serenity.

Disc Golf
Disc golf is a game in which players attempt to throw a frisbee disc from a tee box into a distant standing basket (hole). It’s similar to golf, in that players try to get their disc into the basket in the least number of throws, or strokes. The player with the least number of strokes in a round
We have a 9 Hole (disc baskets) course on 5 acres of The Highland property. Disc golf is a FANTASTIC WAY TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS (AND FAMILY)

Volleyball
Outdoor grass volleyball court 30x60 ft. with quality net and ball. Great family fun with teams of 2-4 per side.

Touch football
Have great fun playing modified touch football on our 30x60 grass court. Move the ball over the end-line and earn points. Another version is to use a frisbee, instead of a football.

Soccer
We have a regular sized ball and an oversized ball for kids. Lots of laughs and fun, either way.

Fun Activities
There are so many options for families and friends to create fun activities on our special grass play area. For our family everyone had a great time creating an obstacle course. All the kids and surprisingly even some of the older folks enjoyed running the course trying to beat their individual times.

Half-court basketball
In front of House II we have a 20x20 ft. area for small teams of 3 on 3 basketball.

Golf putting challenge
There are always golfers in groups that visit “The Highland.” We can’t get you a golf course, but we did create an area for creating putting games or just practicing.

Bean bag toss
When families are together you have to have beanbag toss games. We’ll we do and you can have much competitive fun with it.

Pool
Water Volleyball
Water volleyball is a perfect water fun activity with family and friends. Enjoy it with a group or just a few friends hitting a ball back and forth within the pool. It can easily be set aside when not used.

Water Basketball
Water basketball keeps you moving in the pool and can be competitive fun or just relaxing practicing your shots.

Garden
“The Highland’s” garden is a country fenced 40x60 ft space with 8 20x5 ft rock garden pods, some with vegetables and others with flowers. An area within the garden has a firepit, small table and a few chairs. You’ll enjoy this charming garden while sitting with a friend sharing a bottle of wine.

Firepits
There are 4 firepits at “The Highland.” Just outside the two French doors in front of House I is a firepit conversational area that has an expansive view in daylight and stargazing views at night. House I firepit is fitted within trees between the house and the pool. A third firepit is in the garden and a fourth is on the north edge of the property with great view of the hills beyond.

Explore Hilltop Acres
As you explore our 20 areas look for a few serenity sitting areas. A time to relax, take a breath, and contemplate the wonders of nature.
You will also find 3 hammocks located between trees for relaxing and enjoying views.

The Highland offers a 20-acre seclusion for families and groups. The Highland is the perfect location with hill top views and close to all the activities Austin and the surrounding areas have to offer…central to Dripping Spring’s shopping, local restaurants, dance halls, wedding venues, country side wineries, distilleries, a cidery, olive gardens, hiking trails, kayaking, rock climbing, rivers activities and family outdoor adventures.

This listing is for "The Highland" House I. There is a second House II on the property. If both Houses are rented by two separated groups, then the pool, pool patio, and game area are shared by both groups. Both homes separated by about 50 yards and allows for 10+ guests. Guests love both homes. There is a third Modern Cabin that is 300 yards away from this listing. I as the Owner/Manager of the property, also has a residence on the property.
**EVENTS / PARTIES: Allowed ONLY by Defining Event, and with Host Prior Approval.
**SMOKING: NOT Allowed in HOUSE--- is ONLY ALLOWED in FIRE-PIT areas.
**NUMBER OF GUESTS: The number of guests MUST be Disclosed & Approved prior to booking.
**WAIVER: The number in each seperate family unit as guests, and willingess to follow State/Local socialization guidelines is required required.
