Our 5-acre property has all the amenities for a great getaway. Sit outside and enjoy the mountain views of Cascade, Porter, Algonquin, Wright, and Colden peaks from one of our three porches. We have a gas as well as a natural wood fire pit to enjoy our incredible starry nights. In the summertime, play horseshoes, crochet, corn hole, and pick up games on our huge front yard. Pick wildflowers and raspberries or read a book in our hammock. Wintertime brings sparkling mountain views and snowshoeing, fat tire biking, and cross country skiing. Go exploring and come back for hot chocolate or Irish coffee by the fire. After a day outdoors, return home to enjoy our updated (and super clean) cozy rooms and authentic ADK decor. All mattresses and linens in our house are brand new in 2022. Our kitchen and all baths were updated in 2016. You will feel spoiled relaxing in the spaces we have created for you both in and outside the house. We love this property and have stayed many times now. Everything about it is wonderful from the location, to the views and the home itself. We look forward to our next stay!
The home and guest home are tucked into a beautiful setting. The rooms and beds were all comfortable and the host was very responsive! A wonderful week!
The house was great and had an incredible view of the mountains. The homeowner was very attentive and communication was excellent. It snowed several times while we were there and the drive was plowed after every time, making it easy for us to get in and out. Great location, only about a 10 min drive to downtown Lake Placid. Would highly recommend staying here any time of the year.
House and property are amazing -- can't beat the view! Had great weather, but even if not, you have plenty of places to relax indoors. We ate out once a day and had the rest of our meals at the house. We really enjoyed our time on the deck and around the fire at night. Fantastic!
We had the best time at this home. We were a group of 4 families and the layout allowed for plenty of space for everyone. We divvied up the bedrooms and it was possible for each family to have their own bathroom. Big kids hung out in the basement and we had plenty of room to eat, play and rest without tripping all over each other. We enjoyed three seasons of weather in 5 days, including earthquakes, total solar eclipse and a very surprising April snowstorm! It was beautiful!
The house was spotless, kitchens well-appointed, plenty of seating for everyone, snow shovels and ice melt readily available, amazing sound system. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommend! 14/14 would come back!
Simply awesome! A group of four of us meet every year in the Placid area - this year marked the 15th! Andrea’s home is hands down the most amazing place we’ve stayed. The views are endlessly brilliant- with sunsets creating different views every evening. The property is huge for yard games. The fire pit is also huge (just look at the pictures)! The house has a special Adirondack vibe, great seating and super super comfortable beds! It is truly a gem! Finally, Andrea is fantastic to work with - super responsive, provided suggestions for local hikes and left a bottle of wine for our arrival. I had to ask myself- what more could one want? Nothing at all. One of a kind and I cannot wait for next year.
We had a great time at Lake Placid. Andrea took care of every small detail in this beautiful house. Thank you Andrea for your warm welcome. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The ambience is warm. The outdoor setting is beautiful. The location is convenient. The owners are easy to communicate with in a timely fashion. Thank you for allowing us to share your home for a very scenic and relaxing getaway.
