Came here for a ski trip. Only about 10-15 minutes from Mt Sunapee. Nice to come back and have a warm fire. The house is old, but that gives it character. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very easy weekend. The house was very clean, all the things you need, towels, linens, hand soap, sponges, utensils, pots, pans, etc. They hand just enough games to keep the kids entertained and plenty of TVs. Beds were very comfortable and the furniture was too. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Sunapee, which was easy. Thank you so much!
The Goshen farmhouse with three bedrooms and one and one half bath was perfect for my grouy of 5 people and one dog. It was exceptionally clean and had almost every thing we needed. I definitely recy this place and would go back again.
We stayed here for the opportunity to ski. 15 minutes to ski resort. Great old house with lots of beautiful features. Nice space with a lovely living room dining room space to hang out. Very comfortable and homey feel.
My family needed a place we could stay together for a wedding at Whaleback so we took a chance on this house in Goshen just a short ride away. We're all very glad we did. The house is charming and adorable with a great vibe to it. Close to Newport which has some great shops and restaurants. Beds are super comfortable and the house has everything you could possibly need. Impeccably clean and loaded with country charm. Hosts were great and very responsive. If you're in the area I highly recommend the historic plank house.
The house is beautiful inside and out. It has been upgraded yet at the same time retains a lot of its historical features (wide plank floors in the dining and living room for example). There is lots of room so that a whole family could visit (3 bedrooms). My daughter and I enjoyed our time visiting. We will cherish the memories we made and most definitely will visit again.
We had a great time at Peaceful Acres. The location worked well for hikers, skiers and boarders. The kitchen is spacious as are all the rooms. Loved the wood stove, modern conveniences and comfortable bedrooms. Its clean with thoughtful touches. Dogs aren't allowed upstairs in the bedrooms, which I think is a reasonable request, our pooch was happy to stay downstairs.
Our family of five stayed here for three nights. The property was as described. We found it to be very clean, well stocked with all the small kitchen appliances that you'd need as well as paper products, spices etc. The house itself had the character of an old colonial home that still maintained a lot of it's original character yet had modern updates to it to make your stay comfortable. The location gave us very easy access to all of the major things to do locations in the area.
We just stayed over the weekend but this house has everything and even more what you need. Not just general kitchen utensils but blender, mixer, variety of herbs & spices….. I can’t name it all.
It’s close to the main road and can serve as good starting point for nearby attractions.
We also enjoyed just having coffee at the terrace and watching birds.
Will definitely rent again when we are in that area.
The house is as described on-line. It’s on the main road, but very little traffic so not an issue. It was hot the weekend we were there and we appreciated the air conditioning- other members of our family were not so lucky. Fans upstairs to keep the cool moving. We all had hot water when we needed it. We looked/ listened for the ghost a previous visitor mentioned, but did not find it. If you have a reason to be in the middle of New Hampshire don’t hesitate to stay here. It must be super cozy in the winter.and is close to ski areas.
The home was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could think of. On a side note, I contacted the owners a week after we left to see if they found clothing that was left in a dresser. They promptly replied that they would look and send it back to me if they found it. The next day I received a message that they did find the clothes and had them shipped back. When I attempted to reimburse them, they wouldn't accept payment. This home and the owners are simply the best you'll find.
Lovely, well appointed farmhouse with all modern conveniences. So many close by lakes, streams for fishing, swimming and exploring with our very active 8 & 10 year old grandsons! We had a ball!
We really enjoyed our family time on this property. Clean, well-appointed kitchen, plenty of space to relax (good choice of games provided!), beds comfy and nice back yard where we enjoyed smore's at the fire pit. Being able to walk across the road to the Sugar River where we climbed the rocks, dabbled in the water and enjoyed the fresh breezes was a plus.
Just left Goshen after staying at this historic home. The place is even bigger than the photos suggest. Large living room and big screen porch and a huge backyard. It's right on a main street, so you dont need to travel down any windy, unpaved roads to get there. The house had all the kitchen amenities you need and the host was quick to respond to any questions.
