As you step into our cozy retreat, you'll be greeted by the warm embrace of knotty pine design that exudes rustic charm. The driveway, with ample space for up to 3 cars or one truck and one car, ensures your convenience from the moment you arrive.

The first room features bunk beds, offering a total of 4 twin beds for a comfy slumber.

Our host went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The house was very clean and we had a nice bottle of wine and snacks waiting for us. This house is close to the mountain and right near the lake. We will rent here again

We had a great stay! We arrived to about 5 inches of fresh snow, which was perfect for our ski trip. The property is in a great location—super close to the ski mountain. Ski rental company and restaurant 2 minutes away. The place itself was very clean and well cared for. Everything was comfortable and as described. Tony was very responsive with all messages as well. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a cozy, convenient ski getaway!

Great location- plenty of space, very clean! Lots of nice touches such as coffee bar & complimentary wine. Tony is super quick to respond & a great host. Would come back again(hopefully better weather lol- 2025 Saturdays...)

Sunapee Family Trip

What a beautiful home and amazing hosts! Every little detail was thought of! We brought clothes, groceries, beach towels and sunscreen. Kayaks and paddleboards available with a short walk to the dock. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood and a large screened porch for coffee and afternoon naps. Wonderful Ski Weekend at Hideaway By the Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Hideaway by the Bay - it’s the perfect spot for a cozy ski weekend in N.H.! Tony was incredibly accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions we had! The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of sleeping space for the whole family. The location is central and less than 5 min to Mt Sunapee. We look forward to our next stay!

Perfect Cabin on the Lake

Our family of 5 stayed in the Hideaway by the Bay to go ski Mount Sunapee. The location is directly across the street from the resort. Tony was unbelievably fast on communication. He had great recommendations for food. The house was outfitted perfectly and had many welcoming amenities upon our arrival. We would highly recommend this location for any visit to Mt. Sunapee. Thank you Tony for a fantastic visit!

Awesome Weekend Stay

So glad I stayed here. The owner was awesome, and gave me a tour of the house and the lakefront dock when I arrived. He also provided really good info about nearby restaurants and things to do around the area. The house itself is really cozy with an open layout. Location is great - it's located right off a quiet sideroad, but still about 5 minutes away from Mount Sunapee and Mount Sunapee State Park. Really enjoyed my stay, and will come back when I'm in the area again.

Excellent ski trip

We- 4 adults, 2 kids- had a wonderful trip to the hideaway. Photos are accurate, firepit area is very nice (didn’t manage to use it but a great set up), bathroom/shower is a good size, laundry machines were much appreciated and so was the coffee options (pods and brewing a full pot both options). We had enough hot water for several adult showers in a row. Short drive to slopes, easy check in and out. Host was responsive to any questions. Would not hesitate to stay again, winter or summer, thank you!

Sunapee Lake family fun

Fabulous location within a 2 minute walk to lake for swimming and other water activities. 5 minute drive to quaint downtown Sunapee and 5 minutes to Sunapee mountain! We were in the area for a wedding and our family of 6 fit comfortably into the cozy cabin with an expansive screen porch and comfortable couch seating for all. Made s’mores in outdoor fire pit and listened to loons calling on the lake. Weather wasn’t great but we still had fun and wished we could stay a week. Wonderfully responsive and helpful host. Cant wait to return someday. .

Week in July 2024

We selected the Hideaway by the Bay due to the porch, outdoor area and the coziness of the cottage in photos. We wanted to be nearby the beach and fairly centrally located to New London and to our daughter and son-in law at Baker Hill Golf Club. Hideaway by the Bay did not disappoint. The home is in great shape, the amenities are spectacular, and the home was perfect for our grandkids. The porch and outdoor area were enjoyed throughout the week. The fire pit was very safe and the supply of wood along with the chairs and outdoor, "Tiki lamps" made for an wonderful time with family in the evening. We did not get the chance to use the Kayak's and paddleboards this week, however, we plan to return in the future and will certainly try them out. Tony was very helpful and always available if we had questions! We highly recommend the Hideaway by the Bay to others!
