It was an absolutely beautiful time with each other and the Lord. We heard the angels singing and the blowing of the Shofar all night. The cabin is beautiful and the precense of the Lord is thick. Highly recommend!

Celebrating our 2nd anniversary at Heaven's Door where we were married. Hostesses Michael and Judy are the best host. Cabin is emaculate. Accommodations are wonderful with everything you may need. Grocery is not far if you prefer to cook which is what we did. Did not want to leave cabin as we wanted to totally relax and also spend time with each other and as well as God. This was out 4th time and pray to be back soon Jerry and Theresa

Amazing Restful Retreat

Restful and tastefully appointed 2 bedroom log home like house with all the amenities (and them some!) nestled in the quiet escape of the Blue Ridge foothills. A very pleasant stay with fully equipped kitchen, full bathrooms, covered porch and deck with firepit and hot tub. The relaxing atmosphere of the living room and meditation loft provided ample space to visit or take time away to detach and relax. The initial check-in provided all the necessary information and directions that were supported by pleasantly presented written clear instructions for staying and leaving the facility. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - wished we could have extended our time.

Booking was so easy. Michael and Judy were amazing, they met us when we arrived and explained everything about the house. They even had brochures for local activities, which was so helpful. Just right to REST and RENEW yourself

Stayed 3 nights and was a perfect restful place. Ventured one day to Vineyards but this is the kind of place you will just want to stay there and enjoy mother nature. Hosts were wonderful, place was exceptionally clean. All the creature comforts and beautiful outdoor place to enjoy or watch the hummingbirds. We want to make this an annual stay!

Beautiful grounds kept in immaculate condition. We enjoyed watching the birds from the porch, making a fire on the deck (host had it all ready, just needed to light it), and a picnic by the pond on the property. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Great, quiet place to get away and connect with God.

This was our second stay at Michael and Judy's beautiful property. Absolutely wonderful as expected. We brought my in-laws this time around and they were just enthralled with everything. We made this our base camp for day trips to Blowing Rock and local wineries. Peaceful, tranquil, and perfect. Dare I say we will be back? Do not hesitate to book a stay here. You will not regret it.

Total Peace

Due to time restraints we were not able to stay as long as we wanted but it felt like we were there a whole week. So restful and peaceful, it really gives you a chance to slow down and hear the voice of God. The cabin was so well appointed, there was nothing we didn’t have. The quality of the time spent in this beautiful place is unmatched and Michael and Judy clearly are gifted in hospitality. Can’t wait to go back and knock again on Heaven’s Door!

Third time going to Heaven's Door cabin. Everything you need including the presence of God. Fully stocked, immaculate, owners are fabulous and ready to help if needed. Great location. My husband and I were married at the cabin September, 2023 on the deck in beautiful scenery of nature and in the presence of the Lord, family and friends. Will go again because Heaven's Door is a place we can go to get away from distractions of this world. It is not far from other places if you want to go and come back to a hot tub to relax. Great for couples, girls' getaway, or families.

This cabin has everything you need, want and more. The owners met us at check in to show us around and give info about the technology available- wonderful. Absolutely divine and beautiful place. Close to many places to explore but I stayed put all week right at the cabin- no need to go any further. Enjoyed our time and definitely will be back many times. LOVED IT!!!! Book this cabin and you will understand!! Words cannot describe the experience.

Heaven’s Door is a perfect name for a perfect property. Judy and Michael were wonderful hosts. The cabin was immaculate, comfortable and located in a gorgeous setting. It is an understatement to say that this property is well stocked. Not only does the kitchen have every gadget and appliance a chef could desire but everything is in perfect condition. The furniture and beds were excellent. The huge front porch is a lovely place to bird watch and relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We have traveled extensively and we have never stayed in a more lovely property. Thank you Judy and Michael for creating such an amazing cabin!

Beautiful peaceful getaway!

This property is just beautiful - the cabin itself is cozy and the owners take great care of it. It was clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The outdoor area was our favorite spot - the outdoor lighting, music, fire pit and hot tub made everything so relaxing. The owners had plenty of firewood ready for us as well. We also loved watching TV together in the loft. The owners, Michael and Judy, were great - very responsive to any questions and they even met us during check-in to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. They even set up a Christmas tree for us to enjoy which was a wonderful surprise. We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to reconnect or simply enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Bonding Retreat

Our trip was the female relatives to bond together Spiritually. From the moment we stepped on property until we left, God showed up and spiritual encounters every day. From morning till night the bonds were built and we know it will continue. We decided that we would return annually to this cabin to renew and refresh. The cabin has everything you will need. Very comfortable, peaceful, convenient to sites to see. A 10+++ rental. Owners go above and beyond. They are God sent. Too much to say about Owners and the cabin to put in a review. Divine appointment!

I knew I was supposed to come to Moravian Falls but staying in this amazing home was just the frosting on the cake! There really are no words to describe how peaceful and beautiful this place is! From the minute we stepped on the property, the presence of the Lord was evident! What a joy to be able to spend some time in prayer and rest here! You won’t need for anything. Covenant marriage

Oh my blessings, Michael and Judy allowed Jerry and I to have an intimate wedding with 20 guests. It was an absolutely beautiful setting in the most spiritual place. The owners went out of their way to help in any way they could. It was awesome. All the guests felt like this was a spectacular wedding. The prayers prayed upon each one after the ceremony was accepted and they were grateful. Everyone was on one accord. Praise God for the owners and their cabin. Thank you God for bringing us to this cabin back in February, 2023 and for our ceremony September 4th. Absolutely beautiful location, cabin with everything you need and more, and the best owners/managers one could ask for. Will be back, and many of our friends are looking to book.

Heaven on Earth . . .

I have wanted to visit Moravian Falls for a very long time. I had heard and read so much about the area and the presence of God in this wonderful place. Now having visited and experienced it for myself I can say this is true and especially in Michael and Judy’s beautiful cabin in its gorgeous garden setting of flowers and plants, and numerous hummingbirds! Yes, the peace and presence of God is in this cabin and all over the land there, not to mention His angels too! Michael and Judy are a wonderful couple, hosts, and God’s loving servants in their calling. From the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed with such kindness in the warm embrace of hugs. In being prayed for and blessed, it was as if I had walked right into Heaven on earth for my divine appointment of prayer and receiving from the Lord. I was delighted that a best friend from high school days was able to come and meet me there during my stay after only having seen her twice in 50 years. It was the perfect place for our reunion, a renewal of our friendship and a fresh start - which was God orchestrated. We only left once to see the lovely Moravian falls not far from the cabin, and then spent the rest of our time there in what seemed like home to both of us. It was hard to leave this sweet place. I loved being there and so hope to return again to connect and receive more from God. Thanks, and bless you abundantly Michael and Judy, for a wonderful stay!

Magical Stay

We had an absolute wonderful time at Heaven’s Door. Judy and Michael have thought of everything to make anyone staying there feel welcome and comfortable. They were there upon our arrival to greet us and show us around the house. Music was playing (outside and inside) and a lovely bottle of wine and snacks awaited us. Judy and Michael showed us around ensuring we understood where everything was and how things worked (electronics, hot tub, thermostat, etc.). The kitchen is the most well-stocked I have ever had in a vacation property; they have thought of everything. The pantry has a huge array of spices as well as baking essentials, pasta sauce, dry pasta, popcorn (with butter and popcorn maker!), olive oil, etc. There is a standard coffee maker with plenty of regular and decaf coffee available. Mini creamers and sugar were provided. Hot cocoa packets and tea were readily available as well. Bottled waters were in the fridge. The wood stove was easy to operate and firewood for both here and the firepit outside is provided. The upstairs loft was perfect for lounging and watching television and reading. A fire stick is provided so you can log into your own accounts and stream. WiFi seemed to work well for our purposes. Certainly fast enough and cell signal was fine. Spa-like bathrobes are provided which we used while leaving the house to get into the hot tub out on the deck. Plenty of room for at least four people or more. The deck is also quite spacious with the portable firepit in the middle and plenty of seating. It is so dark out there that you can see the brilliance of the stars on a clear night. It was just beautiful. There are two grills, one gas and one charcoal. You will need to bring your own charcoal. Grilling tools were provided. You are not too far from a Food Lion (grocery store), about 10 minutes away. We found this location ideal in terms of distance to towns like Boone or Blowing Rock for day trips and is also close to several wineries in the area. Michael and Judy were very responsive with any questions we had and were very gracious throughout our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend Heaven’s Door to anyone looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We hope to return.

Heaven on earth

This cabin is gorgeous, well appointed, and the hosts are incredibly hospitable. We were greeted by the hosts, with gorgeous music playing on the porch and throughout the whole cabin. Wine and snacks were on the table, and the hot tub was warm and ready for us! We had a beautiful time of rest, with the Lord, renewing us all. Soaking in the hot tub, rocking on the porch enjoying the view of the gorgeous gardens, walking on paths in the woods, sitting by the pond, taking naps in the loft. It was an unforgettable time for us women! Thank you, Michael and Judy, we will be back!

Perfectly relaxing location, perfectly relaxing stay.

When we found the listing, we loved the pictures. Upon arrival, reality was far better than pictures! We were met by the owners, Mike and Judy, who had already turned on the outdoor lighting and had relaxing music playing in the outdoor speakers. They welcomed us, showed us around, let us know where everything was and how it all operated. They even had a welcome gift for us! And then, they were gone and we were left to unpack and unwind. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was comfortable. Music inside or outside. Hot tub for relaxing. We had a fire in the fire pit almost nightly. And spent time every morning swinging on the porch swing just enjoying the quiet. We were blessed with great weather - only rained once - and the fall colors were beautiful. It was so relaxing, we didn't run around the area as much as we had planned. Mike and Judy were the best hosts from any rental I've stayed in. We're certainly looking forward to returning next year!

Moravian Falls is internationally known as being home to open heavens and unlocking prophetic destinies.
If your coming to the area for Prayer Mountain or a conference at The Gathering we are very close and just a short driving distance away.
Our area is known for the beautiful mountains, numerous rivers to kayaking and fishing, countless wilderness hiking trails with breathtaking views and some of the best coffee you'll enjoy at Talia's Espresso in N. Wilkesboro.
We are 18 min from the Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, the Kerr Scott Lake is a 1475 acre lake, with picturesque views every where you turn, fully equipped to explore nature in its full beauty with hiking trails, 3 beaches, picnicking, fishing and boating.
We are a 12 minute drive from the Faith Fest or the Merle Fest.
We are also located in the center of the Yadkin and Piedmont wine regions of North Carolina, hosting to over 100 vineyards to tour.
We are a 17 min drive to the historical North Wilkesboro Speedway located On US Route 421 in North Wilkesboro, it's original opening was on May 18, 1947 and is now under renovation and scheduled to have upcoming races this fall for August and October.

You'll find the loft to be your treasured retreat! Yes, sleep is important!! Both the master and guest bedrooms are furnished with the most comfortable mattresses and bedding posturing you for incredible sleep and dreams! The outside of the home is flanked by a beautiful pergola for intimate al fresco dining, a front porch furnished with a bench swing, four country rockers, and a quaint bistro table for morning coffee, leading to the outdoor hot tub spa and the expensive deck equipped with outdoor seating, patio table and chairs surrounding a wood burning fire pit canopied by billions of stars and even some visible galaxies. Allow nature to serenade you or set your atmosphere with the outdoor Bose Sound system in the outdoor areas.
