Your vacation rental is just one block from the golden sands of stunning East Beach, a block from the waterfront shuttle, and a bike path along the beachfront. A wall of windows floods the sitting area with natural light. A decorative electric fireplace adds a tranquil ambience. A twin daybed with a twin trundle below can be used for additional sleeping space. The unit includes a mini-refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. French doors lead into the bedroom, where a California king bed lets you sleep like royalty. A comfy armchair offers a pleasant spot to read, and a 32-inch TV awaits for movie nights.

This vacation home is part of an older historical building, and noise may be heard from adjacent units.
This home is located near the train tracks (all Santa Barbara beachfront property shares this feature) and the 101 freeway. Earplugs are provided for those sensitive to noise while sleeping.
Although this home is not equipped with air-conditioning, it is rarely needed with the mild summer temperatures at the beach. A ceiling fan ensures a pleasant breeze.

An amazing place to stay a few blocks from East Beach. We had a beautiful patio with a grill that we enjoyed. Easy public transportation access to downtown State St for all your shopping and dining. Within minutes to zoo and the Wharf.

Great location. Great place. Needs consistent dishes and utensils, with a dish bin to do dishes in the bathroom and needs dish soap. There were only 2 coffee cups and it was difficult to do dishes in the bathroom.

Great place with extra room

We loved the place, worked out well for me and my two daughters, was nice to have a little extra space with the bonus room. I could get up, have my coffee and get ready while they slept in.

Very comfortable

We were in SB to visit family over Christmas and stayed here. The rooms are decent sized and the bed was very comfortable. It was a little cooler outside so we didn’t open the windows and can’t comment on traffic noise. We heard the train a few times but not very loudly. The location near the beach was very convenient.

Cozy little place

The Santa Cruz suite was nice. The bathroom was clean, pretty quiet. We had two cars but parking on the street wasn't an issue for the second car. Although not the property managements fault some lady said I stole her spot in the back I informed her there are no assigned spots. The location was great just a quick 10 minute walk to the beach. And about a 45 minute walk to the downtown area. I'd probably stay here again.

Great location, some charm. But...

Great to be near the beach. It is an old house, with creaks and thin walls that go with it. The place was clean and well equipped. But desperately in need of care. Two big shades in the "sunroom" were dirty and broken only they only stayed down, chipped paint, no anti-slip mat in a slick shower, other things that you rarely encounter for this price.

Short visit in Santa Barbara

The location of this property was the main reason we chose it, nice and close to the beach. It was clean, but floors were unlevel, especially in the bedroom where the head of the bed seemed lower than the foot of the bed. And there was a 10 digit code to unlock/ lock the door to the room which was very cumbersome /bothersome every time we left and came back. Not sure we would stay here again as the cons probably outweighed the pros.

Little getaway

We enjoyed our three night stay in the charming and bright unit. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Short drive to the wharf and to grocery stores. The unit was clean and the main bed was comfy. The sheets need replacing though. They were pilling. The trains are loud and the walls are thin. It didn’t bother us at all, but can understand that some may not like the noise. I remember that the description disclosed the proximity to the train tracks. There was tea and coffee provided but no filters so could not use the coffee maker. There was only one spoon in the whole unit. Eventually, we found 2 more that fell under the kitchen cart. Bathroom was very nice and just what we needed. I liked the toiletries provided. Outdoor eating area was available although we did not have time to enjoy it. Parking in the back was easy! Overall, great value and very nice location.

BEWARE!!!

The location and room was just fine, the bathroom had some mildew in the shower and around the window as older places frequently do. The issue came with the stocking of very basic supplies, mainly toilet paper. We were left with one partial roll and when I called I was told my rental agreement stated that when any supplies ran out it was my responsibility to replace them. I went back and thoroughly read the agreement, in no way is it made clear that this includes TOILET PAPER! Shampoo, soap, even dish soap I can understand. Not toilet paper. We ended up having to take time out of our very short weekend that was meant to be spent with our dear friend for her wedding going out and buying toilet paper. The rental company refunded my cleaning fee, but would not refund the service fee they charge despite the 5 phone calls I had to spend my time on trying to get a roll of TP dropped off to us! I was told someone would call me back three times and didn’t receive that call until I was home and demanding financial compensation. When I was finally granted the refund, I was told it would take 4-6 WEEKS for a check to arrive in the mail. Absolutely ridiculous, I would rather get a room at the motel 6 down the block that has a pool and likely a free supply of toilet paper! So disappointed in vacasa as a business.

This was a nice, clean, property. It is in a reasonably good location. Within walking distance of the beach in a residential neighborhood near hotels. About a mile from the Wharf. We did have an issue with needing one more roll of toilet paper for our 5 night stay (we got 3) and we were told to go buy some on our last day there. Kind of a pain to spend our last day looking for one roll of TP and not having any in the morning to use. Also, everyone in the house (5 different rentals) had trouble going to the wrong doors to check in, walking into other people's rentals by accident and figuring out how to lock the door. Read the instructions carefully and know that you have to turn the lock in addition to putting in numbers. The "gate" code goes to the SIDE door. Read the description carefully. There is a microwave, fridge and coffee pot but no kitchen sink. You have to wash dishes in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we had a nice breeze. Lucky it wasn't too hot that week. The sunroom has nice shades that we left down to keep the room from getting too hot. Overall a good experience. I might stay in a hotel next time so I can get refills of TP when I need it instead of going shopping.

The room is close to the beach and the parking in the street is convenient. However it is too small for a family and based on the description, it should allow for a family of 4 enough space. The "second bonus room" is a very small space where the kids should sleep, but it also includes the " kitchen" area and sitting area. There is no real kitchen, just small fridge and microwave. No locks between the rooms or for the bathroom door, so no privacy at all. When you need to go in and out of the room, then there are 2 doors, each one has a lock with multiple numbers. I think the worst thing is the smell.. there is a very strong smell of an old place/ furniture. Over all the room was clean.

Great location, unit wasn’t quite what I expected

Loved the location, close to the beach, we walked to several places. At first appearance, walking the streets on the backside near the tracks felt a little sketchy, but we never felt unsafe or encountered anything to make us nervous. Continued to walk every day without issue. The unit itself - I knew from the listing it was an old house, but it could use some touch-ups, it felt a little dingy. I could tell it was clean, just needs some TLC here and there. Mainly in the bathroom - cracked paint on baseboards and in corners, old jet tub, dingy tile. There was a musty old house smell overall. The linens were very comfy though. The listing said they provided ear plugs but we didn’t see any. We just used our sound machine app, which was definitely needed - the neighbors in our house were loud every night when they came home and you can hear every little sound from adjacent units. And there was the train as the listing mentioned. We slept fine anyways. Fortunately I paid with credit card points that discounted the overall cost, but if I had paid the full price posted on Vacasa I would feel a little shortchanged after all the fees that get tacked on. If there were no better options through Vacasa in the area I would stay again though which is why I gave 4 stars.
