The tranquility of the small village Langewiesen at the foot of the Langen Berg, its landscape of forests and mountain meadows up to the Rennsteig and the Schwarzatal offer ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday for nature lovers, hikers, families with children and for all who are looking for peace and relaxation ,
Explore the Thuringian Forest with ideal starting points on many well-marked hiking and cycling trails. Visit numerous castles and palaces, as well as dams in the upper mountain country. There are many lakes for fishing enthusiasts.
Do not miss hiking through the UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve. Crystal-clear brooks splash through partly untouched nature and invite you to relax and unwind. In winter, you can expect more than 70 km of groomed trails and several ski lifts with different runs around the Rennsteig area.
Excursions to the cultural cities of Erfurt and Weimar and the winter sports resort Oberhof are recommended.
