Had a great stay, just as described in the listing. My one complaint was that the neighbors parked in the driveway so we had to park on the street. That did not take away from our experience with the listing though.
The house was completely remodeled and updated in pristine condition. Everything was very clean. Our host was polite, gracious and quick to respond. It was even stocked with coffee, tea, water, and snacks. I highly recommend this property!
I would have given 4 stars except the beds were awful, it felt like you were falling in a black hole. Also the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, I did not feel comfortable coming back at night alone. But it was clean and well equipped.
We enjoyed our trip to Waco. The home was very clean and modern. We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast bars! It is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Waco attractions.
This is a really cute well-renovated property. It looks like something that The Gaines would have renovated for Fixer Upper. Very nice bathrooms, great bed linens, very clean and updated appliances. They provide toilet paper, bath soap, keurig coffee, etc. Unfortunately it is not in a nice neighborhood. We didn't feel unsafe, but the home next door, for example, is in complete disrepair- very junky. And there was a very unpleasant odor in the home. Not sure if it was just some really strong cleaning product or a mildew/ mold issue, but it was very offensive. It's also farther from Baylor and Magnolia Market than we normally like to stay, but that made it more affordable which was a plus.
Tastefully decorated.
However our trip was cut short as soon as we located mold on vents.
Owner refunded us fully and promised to take care of the issue.
Came to our hometown to see family. Loved that this was located close to them all. Clean, easy communication and best location for us.

New Bed Needed
The property is located in a lower middle-class neighborhood with lots of rentals. Not terrible area but need to be vigilant. It is basically in a suburb of Waco 12 minutes or so from Silos & Baylor University. The house was pretty clean but needed a deep clean of corners, ceilings, baseboards, vents etc. The kitchen was equipped nicely, and the laundry facilities were great. The BIG issue were the beds they were broken down and were like sleeping in a hammock. As a result, my husband's back went out and the put a damper on the trip. A little TLC with new beds & deep clean and the place would be definitely a potential return for us to visit our Baylor Bear.
Communication with Host was amazing. Every thing in the house was as described and very comfortable. Loved having a Keurig coffee maker. Neighborhood was very quiet and house was so close to so many convenient places.
The property is cutely updated with a big back yard and quiet neighborhood. The fold out is a full sofa fold out (not just futon) and reports from the teen sleeping there was that it was quite comfortable. Will definitely consider staying again if we head back to this part of Waco.
Overall the place was fine, we didn’t spend much time other than sleeping. The outside needs some
Love with the lawn unkept and the backyard not able to be enjoyed. Inside could have been a little cleaner. Finger prints on doors and bathroom cabinets. Yet it did its job by offering a comfy place to retreat after our busy afternoons.
Beautifully renovated home with everything you need for a nice stay. We really loved watching the cardinals and squirrels in the backyard and being able to cook a meal in the kitchen. The master bedroom bed is comfortable but don't plan on sleeping in the middle as there is a hump. I gave 3 stars for cleanliness because it was clean enough but the bathroom was not fully clean - faucet, makeup mirror and the wall behind the sink were all dirty. The location is centrally located to several restaurants and grocery stores but not very close to Magnolia & tourist things. It's an older, quiet neighborhood and we felt safe. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was so well done! It's very clean, has many thoughtful items and touches throughout the property - Coffee pods, make-up remover, shampoo and conditioner, etc. This rental made it easy for us to stay in Waco after flying to the area for a wedding. The location is also super convenient to the main areas in Waco. We loved our stay!
Sadie's 5 Star Retreat is a welcoming home in a pleasant neighborhood. My husband and I and our adult daughter stayed there to watch the recent eclipse, as well as to do a little local sight-seeing. It was a fun and thoughtful surprise to find 3 pairs of eclipse sunglasses waiting for us in the home. The kitchen is well-stocked and though we didn't make many meals in the house, there were plenty of dishes and pans, as well as a variety of spices. It was great to find bottles of water in the fridge and plenty of coffee (and tea) pods, plus creamers, for our use. The beds in both bedrooms were very comfy. The TVs were a little tricky and time-consuming to figure out, but we managed eventually. Also, we had a bit of a problem with the front door lock, but Michelle responded right away. All in all, I'd recommend staying there. We had a great time.
