Pros:
Location: convenient to boat launch, close to TART trail, view of lake, close to golf and wineries
The property manager was VERY responsive and a pleasure to work with.
The property was very large and nice.
Cons: The cabin was not very clean. We spent several hours after arrival cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and coffee maker. We had to wash the sheets in one of the bedrooms as they had either not been used in awhile or were not cleaned after the previous guests. The refrigerator was filled with someone else’s half used food. The beds were relatively comfortable but they were just mattresses on the floor. Only one full bathroom. Listing states 1+ bathrooms but the plus must be the outhouse in the back yard. Overall, it felt as if we were staying at someone’s house and they just left for a couple of days.

This is a beautiful property. The owners were super helpful when we reached out. The views from the porch are amazing. We did a sisters trip and we couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.
This house is vintage (in a good way) but with the conveniences we needed. The only thing we missed was a microwave. Beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked with tools and cookware, there were games and a very nice porch and view of the lake. The back yard and general area are very pretty.
This location, while rural, was extremely convenient to travel all over the peninsula on day trips. Sleeping Bear Dunes, Torch Lake, Leelanau State Park/Northport were all about 45 minutes away, Traverse City is 10 minutes away, Leland 20 minutes. We went all over and enjoyed coming back to this cozy home base.
The sunsets are beautiful and if you want to see the whole view over the water, it's just a short walk across the street to the boat launch.
It's quiet and comfortable couches and beds. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed rooms are upstairs and there is no AC but if the nights are cool - using a fan is pretty comfortable. The hosts were super responsive. And there is a small beach just a short drive away, though you might want water shoes as it's somewhat rocky. We had not been in this area much and this was a nice location to venture out to Sutton's Bay and Northport among other small towns.
