"Remodel done 2019" Our Two Room Guest House (Living Room in day / bedroom at night and Bedroom with full kitchen and 2 baths) is located in the beautiful Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla, known for it's winding tree-lined streets and seaside charm. The property is on a very quiet street only minutes from the Village of La Jolla with it's designer shops, galleries, and award winning restaurants. We are blocks away from the Pacific Ocean and the Bird Rock business district; restaurants, boutiques and cafes, including Bird Rock Coffee Roasters awarded Best Coffee Roaster in U.S.A.
The property is adjacent to a green belt, and we are on a very quiet street, yet close by to all La Jolla and San Diego attractions.

The Guest House features wood floors throughout. There are two rooms, one with a California King and top of the line fold-down Queen futon, and the other room is a living room in day and a bedroom at night with top of the line fold down Queen futon and raised 28' platform Day bed. There are two bathrooms with showers (one in-room). We have a new kitchen featuring granite countertops, custom cabinets and gas stove and oven. Microwave and Coffee Maker. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining and seating area. There is an outdoor seating area and barbecue. There is seating for dining indoors. Parking in the front of driveway. Our La Jolla hideaway is only a few blocks from ocean and twenty minutes from Downtown San Diego, the airport and most major attractions! Check out our five star reviews!

Best part is how familiar we are with the place and its location. It isn't anything fancy but it has everything that a family needs and we had yet another wonderful Thanksgiving together and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Everything was wonderful. More than enough sleeping space for my family. We came to San Diego to visit our Navy son. We all enjoyed the home and would absolutely stay at the same location.Beds were comfy, kitchen was nice and full. The location of the house was perfect for any kind of activity in San Diego.La Jolla is very safe and friendly. Everyone was nice. Plenty of towels. Amenities well supplied. Hot showers.Highly recommend.

Adorable Location Walking Distance to Ocean/Shops

Our family spent three nights here and loved it! Beautiful quiet neighborhood, clean space, and lots of sleeping options. We walked to see the ocean and to get coffee at Bird Rock - just what we needed for our vacation. :) Would definitely come back!

Very impressed with how clean this property was. It was well stocked and welcoming. Our first night had telephone work and it was hard to sleep- not the owners fault. On the last night there was s truck parked in our parking spot and thankfully Orlando took care of this. When I texted the owner, he was prompt to reply. Also it’s very hard to rate the pool, when there wasn’t one, but the survey didn’t allow me to continue. There should be a non applicable option for this and I hope the one star rating doesn’t affect the property rating.

Tucked into the neighborhood

Very comfortable for 3 adults and could easily accommodate at least 2 more. Generously stocked with clean and comfortable linens. This is what short term rental should be: family-run, not remote owners. Great neighborhood

We had a great stay overall! The unit was, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the experience smooth from check-in to check-out. While we really enjoyed our time here, we did notice that the unit could benefit from some updates to make it even better. That said, it still served us well for our trip, and we appreciated the hospitality

Great Location

Wonderful location in La Jolla…close proximity to beaches, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Host was very responsive when I had questions/inquiries. There are families that live above the unit, but that is disclosed and the noise was not bothersome. It’s a very simple space and covered our needs perfectly, especially since we were in and out a lot. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home in LaJolla

This place was just what my family needed while stayed in La Jolla for three days. The owner was more than accommodating and friendly. And the home was clean, safe, and relaxing. My family and I will definitely stay here again.

We're from an international hospitality background (Se habla espanol!), and you can find us most Sundays at La Jolla Farmers Market, where I display and sell my watercolors. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else than Bird Rock! After one visit, you'll see why our guests return year after year...

We love the convenience of being in Bird Rock La Jolla, and all that it has to offer. Living on our one block tree-lined street, in this peaceful neighborhood, has all the charm of a small town. Restaurants, boutiques, cafes and the beach are all within easy walking distance. We love the perfect year-round climate, and the sea breezes that blow in each day, keeping the air crystal clean.The beauty of La Jolla is breathtaking. We think that it's the most beautiful place in the world!
